Succinic Acid 100 g

A Multipurpose Compound Bridging Agriculture, Nutrition, and Skincare

Succinic acid is a naturally occurring compound whose highest global demand comes primarily from agriculture, where it serves as a plant growth biostimulant, improves resistance to drought and stress, and accelerates seed germination and root development in cuttings. Beyond farming, this ingredient is widely used in the food industry as an acidity regulator, in the production of dietary supplements and sports nutrition, and in skincare formulations thanks to its antioxidant properties and ability to support skin vitality. This item belongs to the category Acids, Salts, Alcohols, and Alkalis, which brings together related compounds for various technical purposes.

The 100 g package size is well suited for home use, trial batches, and small experimental formulations, whether preparing a plant feeding solution, incorporating it into a face mask, or crafting a homemade supplement. This compact volume allows you to test dosage and effect before scaling up to larger purchases for continuous production. In cosmetic formulations, it is typically added to the water phase at the final stage, at temperatures not exceeding forty degrees Celsius, usually at a concentration of one to three percent of the total formula weight, to preserve its activity.

Succinic acid pairs well with other acids and antioxidants, allowing formulators to build layered, more effective blends. In skincare recipes it is often combined with ascorbic acid, which boosts the antioxidant effect and helps even out skin tone, as well as with kojic acid for a more pronounced brightening result in anti-pigmentation blends. For renewing and refreshing skin texture, it can also be paired with lactic acid to create a gentle combination peel with an added hydrating benefit.

In household chemistry, the compound is used as a component for descaling solutions and as an additive that reduces the aggressiveness of certain cleaning formulas. In candle making and perfumery its use is less common, though it occasionally serves as a stabilizer for fragrance blends. The product should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, in a tightly sealed container, avoiding contact with moisture to preserve its crystalline structure and activity throughout its shelf life.

When handling the pure powder, gloves are recommended and inhaling fine dust should be avoided, particularly when weighing small quantities for precise formulations. Its compatibility with most plant extracts, vitamins, and moisturizing ingredients makes succinic acid a flexible component for both home experimentation and small studio-scale production of cosmetics, supplements, or garden solutions.
