Melt the emulsifying wax together with jojoba oil in a heatproof container and warm to about 60°C. Blend zinc oxide into a small portion of the warm oil phase until you get a smooth, lump-free paste, then combine with the remaining oil phase. Heat the water to the same temperature and slowly pour it into the oil phase while stirring continuously until a stable, thick emulsion forms. Once cooled to 40°C, mix in Disteardimonium Hectorite, pearl hydrolysate and preservative, stir until fully blended, and transfer the finished lotion into a clean, airtight jar.
