Alcohol 100 ml

Why Concentrated Alcohol Remains Essential in Perfumery and Sanitizing Products

Alcohol 100 ml is a concentrated ethyl alcohol of high purity that serves as a universal solvent and base for numerous formulations. This product belongs to the category Acids, Salts, Alcohols, and Alkalis, which brings together fundamental chemical components used in professional and home production of cosmetics, household chemicals, and perfumery. Alcohol of this concentration finds its widest demand far beyond cosmetics: it is heavily used in perfumery, pharmaceutical preparations, cleansing manufacturing, household cleaning products, and the preparation of botanical extracts.

The primary global application of this alcohol lies in the perfume industry. Alcohol acts as a solvent for fragrance oils, essential oils, and perfume absolutes, allowing the scent to develop properly and remain stable once applied to skin. The compact 100 ml packaging is particularly suited for home perfumery experiments and testing trial compositions before scaling up to larger production batches. Hobbyist perfumers rely on this alcohol to craft their own eau de toilette, colognes, and aromatic sprays for body and linen.

The second major use of concentrated alcohol involves cleansing solutions. An alcohol base forms the foundation of hand sanitizers, surface disinfectants, and instrument cleaning solutions, and it is also used in manufacturing wet wipes and antibacterial sprays. At home, this alcohol is commonly used to prepare toners, lotions, and cleansing solutions for problematic skin, where dissolving active ingredients evenly throughout the formula is essential.

This alcohol pairs remarkably well with various acids, making it a convenient solvent for homemade peels and toning formulations. For instance, natural AHA fruit acids dissolve easily in the alcohol base, enabling the creation of gentle exfoliating toners for home skincare routines. Alcohol also acts as a carrier for introducing linoleic acid into lightweight serum formulations designed for oily and blemish-prone skin, since the alcohol medium helps distribute this compound evenly throughout the mixture. Another notable combination involves succinic acid, which dissolves in alcohol to create toning and refreshing formulas with a mild stimulating effect on skin metabolic processes.

When working with this alcohol, dosage matters: cleansing solutions typically require an alcohol concentration between sixty and seventy percent of the total formula volume, while perfume compositions use alcohol as a fragrance solvent at a ratio of roughly one to three or one to five depending on the desired scent intensity. It is best introduced at the final stage of formulation, without heating, at room temperature, since volatile alcohol components evaporate quickly when exposed to heat. Store the product in a tightly sealed container, away from open flames, in a cool, dark place out of reach of children.

Trial Citrus Cologne Blend

Alcohol 45 ml

Bergamot essential oil 4 ml

Lemon fragrance oil 3 ml

Glycerin 2 ml

Distilled water 20 ml

Combine the alcohol with bergamot essential oil and lemon fragrance oil in a clean glass bottle, stirring thoroughly until the aromatic oils fully dissolve. Transfer the finished blend into a dark glass bottle with a sprayer and let it rest in a cool place for at least three days before use so the fragrance notes can fully develop and settle.
