Plantaquat NC is a lecithin based emulsifying complex derived from plant phospholipids designed for stabilizing cosmetic emulsions and improving sensory characteristics of formulations. Purified water 700 ml
Glycerin 55 g
Sweet almond oil 110 ml
Shea butter 80 ml
Plantaquat NC 60 g
Cetearyl alcohol 40 g
Panthenol 12 g
Preservative system 2 g

Glycerin is dissolved in the aqueous phase under heating until uniform. In a separate vessel almond oil, shea butter, Plantaquat NC and cetearyl alcohol are heated until fully melted forming a homogeneous oil phase. The oil phase is gradually incorporated into the aqueous phase under high shear mixing to form an emulsion. After the structure is stabilized the mixture is cooled and panthenol and preservative system are added. The pH is adjusted to a balanced range suitable for emulsion systems. The final product is a smooth medium density cream with stable lamellar structure.
