A ready emulsion base for building your own cream formula
Cream Base 100 g is a pre-emulsified foundation that lets you produce a finished skincare product without formulating emulsifiers, thickeners and stabilizers from scratch. This product belongs to the category of base for cosmetics, cream, serum, shampoo, which remains in steady demand among home formulators, small studios and labs testing new recipes before scaling up. The 100 g packaging is particularly convenient for home use and trial batches, allowing several additive variations to be tested without risking a large volume of raw material.
The base is mainly used for creating facial, body and hand creams as well as specialized skincare treatments. Plant and essential oils, hydrosols, extracts, vitamins and active ingredients are typically introduced at a concentration of 1 to 5 percent of the total volume. The oil phase and water-soluble additives should be blended in at a temperature no higher than 40-45 degrees Celsius, preserving the emulsion structure and protecting heat-sensitive ingredients such as vitamin C or certain botanical extracts. Fragrances and preservatives are added at the final stage, once the mixture has cooled to room temperature, which helps avoid evaporation of volatile components and keeps the preservative system fully effective.
The base pairs well with shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba, coconut and almond oils, as well as silicone derivatives for a smoother glide. It also combines nicely with cosmetic pigments and pearlescent additives - for a cream with a subtle shimmering finish, formulators often use pearlescent concentrate for shampoos and gels. This base is frequently used alongside decorative cosmetic products as well - when developing a full skincare line, many brands work with the cream base together with Eyeshadow Base to build a coordinated product range.
Another notable application is producing specialized creams for hands, elbows, heels and other areas prone to dryness. For such formulas, it is convenient to combine this base with the ready-made Hand Cream Base 100 g to achieve a denser texture for intensive moisturizing.
The base should be stored in a tightly closed container at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and sudden temperature changes that could cause the emulsion to separate. Once opened, shelf life is usually limited to a few months, which makes the 100 g format a practical and economical choice for lab or home use without wasting unused product.
