Volufiline active for skin density and volume enhancing formulations
Volufiline is a cosmetic active ingredient derived from the natural extract of the Asian plant Gardenia asiatica, traditionally used in care practices to support attractive skin appearance. In modern cosmetic formulations the ingredient is applied in products designed to improve visual skin density and create a smoother and more refined appearance.
The active integrates easily into creams, emulsions, serums and oil based systems, making formulation work convenient for both industrial production and small batch cosmetic manufacturing. It supports stable textures and consistent product performance.
Properties and skin appearance outcome
In care formulations Volufiline contributes to a perception of softer and better maintained skin after application. Products containing this ingredient create the impression of improved skin density and smoother surface appearance.
The component is widely used in formulations intended for areas where visual contour improvement is desired. With regular use products are perceived as richer in care performance while maintaining comfortable texture and application.
Volufiline allows formulators to create a cosmetic lipofilling effect, visually enhancing skin areas that benefit from improved softness and apparent density without heavy texture feel.
Application across industries
The active is used in facial creams, serums, neck and décolleté care, bust care formulations and body care products. It is suitable for private label projects, artisanal brands and industrial cosmetic production.
Volufiline blends well with moisturizing ingredients, emulsion systems, vegetable oils and modern cosmetic actives, enabling creation of advanced multifunctional care formulations.
Recipe for creamy Volufiline serum for skin care
Rose hydrolate 70 ml
Volufiline active 5 ml
Jojoba oil 10 ml
Cream emulsifier 5 g
Vegetable glycerin 5 ml
To prepare the formulation rose hydrolate is poured into a clean sanitized container and heated as the water phase. In a separate container jojoba oil and emulsifier are heated until completely melted. The oil phase is slowly incorporated into the water phase while continuously mixing to obtain a uniform cream texture. During the cooling stage glycerin and Volufiline are added and gently mixed until evenly distributed. The product is then allowed to cool and stabilize completely before filling or use.
Volufiline is intended for B2B use and supports development of stable cosmetic formulations with reproducible performance and scalable manufacturing capability.
