Why Amisol Trio Is a Reliable Choice for Gentle Cleansing Formulas
Amisol Trio is a modern amphoteric surfactant widely used in the production of shampoos, shower gels, facial cleansers, intimate hygiene products, and baby care lines. This component belongs to the broad category of Surfactants, which brings together various cleansing base ingredients suitable for both cosmetic and industrial manufacturing. The main role of Amisol Trio is to build soft, stable foam and reduce the irritating potential of harsher anionic surfactants commonly used alongside it.
The 1 liter packaging is aimed at studio-scale and small-batch production: it suits cosmetic labs, formulation studios, and growing brands that have moved past trial batches but are not yet operating at full industrial volume. This size makes it convenient to test different concentrations and later scale the formula up without recalculating ratios from scratch.
Amisol Trio is known for softening foaming systems, increasing the viscosity of the final product, and stabilizing lather even in hard water or in the presence of oils. Thanks to its amphoteric nature, it performs well across a wide pH range and is compatible with nearly all surfactant types - anionic, nonionic, and other amphoteric compounds. This makes it a common pairing partner for gentle sugar-based surfactants such as Mousse de Sucre, 50 ml, which together create a soft cleansing base suitable for sensitive skin and children's products.
In household chemical manufacturing, Amisol Trio is used to formulate liquid soaps and dishwashing products labeled as mild formulas, as well as cleansers designed for dry or reactive skin. In the personal care industry, the ingredient is frequently chosen for sulfate-free shampoos and micellar waters, where preserving foaming performance without stripping the skin or hair is essential. It blends particularly well with plant-derived surfactants based on coconut and babassu oils, such as RESASSOL AGB 25 g, which further enhances mildness and lowers the overall irritation potential of the finished formula.
Amisol Trio should be added during the water phase mixing stage, at temperatures not exceeding 40-45 degrees Celsius, to avoid breaking down its structure and losing its functional properties. Typical usage levels in formulations range from 3 to 15 percent of the total batch weight, depending on the desired foam density and mildness level. To boost conditioning performance, it is often combined with plant-based amphoteric surfactants, for example Olive Amphoteric Surfactant 50 g, resulting in a more balanced and gentle cleansing system.
Store Amisol Trio in a tightly sealed container, in a dry area at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Proper storage helps the ingredient retain its stability and performance over an extended period, which is important for labs keeping stock for multiple production cycles.
Gentle Babassu Shower Gel Base
Distilled water 550 ml
Amisol Trio 110 ml
RESASSOL AGB 18 g
Olive Amphoteric Surfactant 22 g
Glycerin 20 ml
Fragrance oil 6 ml
Preservative as directed by manufacturer
Combine
water and glycerin in a clean container, then slowly add Amisol Trio while
stirring gently to avoid excessive foaming. Add RESASSOL AGB and the olive
amphoteric surfactant, mixing until the blend becomes uniform. Finish by adding
the fragrance oil and preservative, allow the mixture to reach room
temperature, and transfer it into pump-dispenser bottles.
