Sodium Coco Sulfate surfactant for cleansing and foaming cosmetic formulations

Sodium Coco Sulfate is an anionic surfactant derived from coconut fatty acids and used in cleansing cosmetic formulations. The ingredient is widely applied in skin and hair care products due to its ability to create stable foam and disperse effectively in water based systems. The component is suitable for industrial cosmetic production as well as small laboratory development and independent formulation work.

Properties and skin appearance outcome

Sodium Coco Sulfate enables smooth distribution of cleansing textures across skin and hair surface, allowing products to spread evenly and provide clean cosmetic result after use.

Within cleansing formulations the component contributes to a clean and fresh feeling without heavy residue. After rinsing, skin and hair appear refreshed and products wash off easily with water.

The ingredient enhances sensory performance of cleansing products by creating rich foam and supporting easy product distribution during washing.

Application across industries

Sodium Coco Sulfate is used in shampoos, shower gels, liquid soaps, hand cleansers, bath foams, scalp care products and other cleansing formulations. The ingredient is widely applied in professional cosmetic lines, private label projects, contract manufacturing and small cosmetic production.

Recipe for cleansing shower gel

Purified water 60 ml
Sodium Coco Sulfate 20 g
Glycerin 8 ml
Liquid aloe extract 10 ml
Preservative 2 g

Purified water is placed into a working container and mixed slowly. Sodium Coco Sulfate is gradually added while mixing gently until fully dispersed without excessive foaming. Glycerin is then incorporated to soften texture, followed by aloe extract while mixing continues until uniform composition forms. Finally preservative is added and mixing continues until stable gel is obtained. The product is left to stabilize and release trapped air before filling.

The formulation is designed for B2B use, ensuring formulation stability, reproducibility and versatile application in modern cleansing product development.
