Once melted, essential and carrier oils, menthol crystals, plant extracts and fragrance can be blended in at roughly 2 to 5 percent of the total volume, along with colorants - at this stage the temperature should be lowered to around 45-50 degrees Celsius to protect volatile and heat-sensitive ingredients.

To boost softening properties for sensitive skin, part of the batch can be blended with the Crystal Argan Oil soap base.

Store the base in a dry place at room temperature, in sealed original packaging, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, to keep its working properties intact for the entire shelf life. When handling a large block, it is practical to portion it in advance so each melt uses only the amount required, since repeated reheating of leftovers gradually weakens the lathering performance of the mass.

Charcoal and Peppermint Shaving Bar

Crystal Shaving Base 1000 g

Activated charcoal powder 4 g

Sweet almond oil 20 ml

Peppermint essential oil 5 ml

Vegetable glycerin 20 ml

Vitamin E oil 5 ml

Cut the base into cubes and melt over a water bath at around 60 degrees Celsius until fully liquid, avoiding boiling. Remove from heat and let it cool to about 50 degrees Celsius, then stir in the sweet almond oil and glycerin until fully combined. Dissolve the activated charcoal in a small amount of warm oil to prevent clumping, then blend it into the mixture together with the peppermint essential oil and vitamin E. Mix thoroughly, pour the mass into silicone bar molds and let it set at room temperature for at least four hours before unmolding and packaging the finished bars.
