Soybean oil, from 190 L

Building a stable production pipeline around soybean oil

Soybean oil supplied from 190 liters is intended for manufacturers who need a continuous, predictable stream of raw material rather than a single small purchase. This volume covers the needs of production lines for cosmetics, food products, coatings, printing inks and technical blends, where any interruption in supply can halt a whole conveyor. The Bulk Oils section brings together exactly this type of item - large containers, consistent batches and logistics suited to industrial facilities.

Globally, soybean oil is first and foremost a food ingredient: the refined form is widely used for frying, margarine and mayonnaise manufacturing, sauces and salad dressings thanks to its neutral flow and good heat stability. The second largest market is biodiesel and industrial fuel, where the oil acts as a renewable feedstock for processing plants. A fast-growing niche is printing, where soy-based inks have replaced petroleum inks in packaging and publishing due to their lower environmental footprint and good coverage. In the paint and chemical industries the oil is used as a plasticizer and a component of alkyd resins, while in animal feed production it serves as an energy-dense additive.

In cosmetic formulation soybean oil is valued for its light, non-greasy feel and high linoleic acid content, which helps the skin retain moisture in its upper layers. It is typically added at 5 to 30 percent of the formula, introduced into the oil phase at 60-70 degrees together with emulsifiers and thickeners. It blends particularly well with other base oils: combined with walnut oil it produces richer, more nourishing formulas, while pairing it with hazelnut oil gives a lighter, fast-absorbing texture suited to summer products. For formulas that need better shelf stability and a balanced oiliness, adding jojoba oil is a common solution.

When handling volumes from 190 liters, correct storage becomes essential: sealed containers, temperatures not exceeding 25 degrees, and protection from direct sunlight and temperature fluctuations. Under these conditions the oil retains its declared properties for the full shelf life, which matters for planning conveyor batches and long-term supply contracts.

Pilot blend for a body care production line

Soybean oil 800 ml

Walnut oil 100 ml

Hazelnut oil 70 ml

Jojoba oil 30 ml

Combine all the oils in a clean container and warm on a water bath to about 40 degrees, stirring gently until the mixture is uniform. Use this pilot blend as the oil phase base for a future cream line or as a standalone massage product, then evaluate texture, absorption speed and overall stability before scaling the formula up to full production volumes.

FAQ

Fatty acid profile and oxidative stability of soybean oil

Refined soybean oil has a characteristic fatty acid profile that determines oxidative stability. Exact values for a batch appear in the COA or specification. Stability can be verified by requesting documentation.

Documents: COA and specification for soybean oil

Current documents for this product are listed in the «Documents» block of the product card.

Shelf life, signs of rancidity and how to slow it for soybean oil

The shelf life date for this soybean oil is 10.2028 when stored in a dry cool place in a sealed container away from light. Signs of rancidity include off odor or taste. Proper storage conditions help maintain quality until the indicated date.

Refined vs unrefined grade of soybean oil and what changes

This soybean oil is supplied as the refined grade with neutral flow and good heat stability. The unrefined grade differs in color and odor. Differences between grades are listed in the product specification.
