Why Manganese Sulfate Remains Essential for Agriculture and Industrial Chemistry
Manganese sulfate is an inorganic salt with steady global demand across agriculture, animal feed production, industrial chemistry and fertilizer manufacturing. This product belongs to the Chemical Raw Materials category, which brings together inorganic salts and reagents used across multiple industrial sectors. The 25 kg packaging is designed for facilities that require consistent, large-scale supply for conveyor production lines, agrochemical plants and industrial laboratories.
The largest share of worldwide demand for manganese sulfate comes from agriculture, where it is applied as a micronutrient fertilizer to correct manganese deficiency in soil and as an ingredient in animal feed additives, since manganese supports bone formation and metabolic processes in livestock and poultry. In the chemical industry the compound is used in catalyst production, in textile manufacturing as a mordant during fabric dyeing, and in the formulation of slow-release specialty fertilizers. Another notable application is in ceramics and glass manufacturing, where it helps achieve specific tints and matte surface effects.
In cosmetic and dermatological formulations, manganese sulfate is occasionally included in low concentrations in preventive skincare products as a trace element source, as well as in bath preparations and external topical solutions. When working with this raw material, precise dosing is essential, since excessive manganese concentrations can be harmful, so industrial formulas always calculate the exact quantity based on the intended use and technical regulations of the process.
Manganese sulfate dissolves readily in water, which simplifies preparation of working solutions and allows it to be introduced at almost any stage of the process without preheating. It is compatible with most mineral salts, including Potassium sulfate, Ukraine, 25 kg, which is frequently combined into complex mineral blends for agricultural and industrial purposes. Chemical formulations also commonly pair it with other metal sulfates, such as Cobalt sulfate, Finland, 20 kg, when developing complex feed premixes and additives. For industrial detergent and cleaning formulations, the raw material is sometimes combined with surfactants like Sodium laureth sulfate 170 kg, although such combinations require preliminary compatibility testing.
Manganese sulfate should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated space at room temperature, in tightly sealed containers protected from moisture and direct sunlight, as the substance is hygroscopic and can clump when exposed to humid air. When handling large packaging, a dedicated storage area is recommended, along with dust protection measures during transfer of the powder.
Mineral Solution for Foliar Plant Feeding
Distilled or settled water 10000 ml
Manganese sulfate 15 g
Potassium sulfate 20 g
Cobalt sulfate 2 g
In
a container with clean water at room temperature, dissolve the manganese
sulfate first, followed by the potassium sulfate, stirring until each component
is fully dissolved. Add the cobalt sulfate last in small portions, mixing
thoroughly until the solution is uniform. Dilute the finished concentrate
according to the technical regulation before applying it for foliar treatment
of plantings, and store it in a dark container for no more than a few days in a
cool place.
