Ercasorb MO V — Natural Emulsifier for Modern Clean Beauty Formulations

Ercasorb MO V (INCI: Sorbitan Oleate) is a plant-based, non-ethoxylated emulsifier derived from natural fatty acids. It is widely used in clean beauty, natural, and PEG-free cosmetic formulations to create stable water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions with a smooth, velvety texture and excellent skin compatibility.

This emulsifier is ideal for developing:
• moisturizing creams and balms with rich oils
• baby care products and sensitive skin formulations
• after-shave and soothing body lotions
• sulfate-free body washes and mild shampoos
• serums and emulsions with active ingredients

With a low HLB value of approximately 4.3, Ercasorb MO V enables stable emulsions that tolerate a wide pH range (4–8) and temperatures up to 85 °C. It works well with oils, vitamins, botanical extracts, and peptides, requiring no additional stabilizers.

Example formulation
Phase A:
Purified water — 72 g
Glycerin — 2 g
Ercasorb MO V — 3 g
Sweet almond oil — 8 g
Decyl Glucoside — 5 g
Phase B:
Panthenol — 1 g
Preservative — as needed
Heat phases to 70–75 °C, blend until homogeneous, cool to 40 °C, add actives.
