Product Description

Uvasorb HEB - advanced UV filter for high-performance sun protection formulations

Modern sun protection engineering relies on advanced functional ingredients that absorb ultraviolet radiation with exceptional efficiency while maintaining stability under intense sunlight. Uvasorb HEB is a highly effective organic UV-B filter known globally for its exceptional photostability and high specific extinction coefficient, making it an indispensable asset for formulators aiming to achieve high sun protection factor ratings. This specialized functional ingredient incorporates active chemical structures that absorb harmful ultraviolet rays and safely dissipate the energy, preventing photo-degradation of the formulation and protecting the skin from UV-induced damage. Global cosmetic laboratories and professional formulators consistently choose this UV absorber to develop high-end sunscreens, daily protective moisturizers, and specialized outdoor skincare lines that meet rigorous international regulatory standards.

The worldwide market for sun care products demands raw materials that offer both superior performance and reliable skin compatibility. International manufacturers incorporate this filter into a wide array of personal care items, ranging from beach sunscreens and sports formulas to daily anti-aging creams and BB creams with added sun protection. In professional manufacturing environments and artisan laboratories alike, this ingredient is valued for its excellent oil-phase solubility and smooth integration into complex emulsion systems. Developers appreciate how the compound enhances the overall efficacy of sunscreen formulas without causing heavy or greasy skin sensations, ensuring a pleasant sensory profile for the end user.

Functional applications and role in cosmetic formulations

The primary role of this ingredient centers on providing robust ultraviolet defense across multiple product categories within the beauty and personal care industry. In facial and body cosmetics, the filter serves as a core active component in daily protective creams, lightweight fluid sunscreens, BB and CC creams, and anti-photoaging treatments. While the product is not utilized in soap making, candle production, household cleaning chemicals, the food industry, pharmaceuticals, or traditional perfumery, its specialized utility in advanced sun protection and specialized skincare remains unmatched. The functional mechanism involves high-efficiency absorption within the ultraviolet-B spectrum, which protects skin cellular structures and prevents the breakdown of other vulnerable formula constituents.

Formulators and cosmetic chemists benefit from the high molar absorptivity of the compound, which allows for a lower total percentage of the ingredient in formulas while achieving high protection ratings. This efficiency helps maintain lightweight textures and reduces the risk of white casts or sticky residues. The ingredient demonstrates excellent compatibility with other UV filters, emollients, and emulsifiers, giving developers the creative freedom to design elegant, non-greasy emulsions that perform reliably under harsh environmental conditions.

Lightweight daily facial sunscreen with Uvasorb HEB

Purified water - 65 milliliters Caprylic triglyceride - 10 grams Uvasorb HEB - 6 grams Avobenzone - 3 grams Cetearyl olivate and sorbitan olivate - 5 grams Glycerin - 4 grams Niacinamide - 3 grams Phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin - 1 gram

In a heat-resistant glass beaker, combine purified water, glycerin, and niacinamide, then warm the mixture gently on a water bath. In a separate container, weigh out the caprylic triglyceride, cetearyl olivate and sorbitan olivate, and Uvasorb HEB, heating the oil phase until the emulsifier and UV filter dissolve completely. Pour the warm oil phase into the aqueous phase under continuous high-speed mixing with a cosmetic stirrer to form a smooth, uniform emulsion. Continue gentle stirring until the cream cools down to room temperature, then incorporate the broad-spectrum preservative and mix thoroughly. Transfer the finished sunscreen into an airtight container or a pump bottle for daily application.

The resulting sunscreen features a light, fluid lotion texture that spreads effortlessly across the skin and absorbs quickly without leaving a heavy film or white residue. The product delivers reliable broad-spectrum defense, leaving the complexion feeling soft, properly hydrated, and protected from daily environmental stressors. Regular use supports skin health while maintaining a comfortable, non-greasy sensory experience throughout the day.
