2. Prepare Phase A (Oil Base): In a heat-resistant beaker, combine Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Emulsifying Wax NF, and Stearic Acid.
3. Heat Phase A: Gently heat Phase A over a double boiler or in a microwave (using short bursts) until all solid ingredients are completely melted and the mixture is clear (approx. 70-75°C / 158-167°F). Stir gently to combine.
4. Add Phase C (Optional Aqueous Phase): If adding water for a softer scrub, gently heat the distilled water in a separate beaker to the same temperature as Phase A (70-75°C). Slowly pour the heated water into Phase A while stirring continuously with a whisk or mini-mixer. Continue stirring until an emulsion forms. If not adding water, proceed to step 5.
