Pearlescent Pigment Red Gold mineral effect pigment for decorative and industrial applications
Pearlescent Pigment Red Gold is a functional mineral pigment based on mica coated with metal oxides that creates a strong optical effect with a warm red gold interference shine. INCI Mica Iron Oxides Titanium Dioxide. It is used in cosmetic decorative and technical systems where stable color depth and light reflection are required.
What it is and where it is used
Pearlescent Pigment Red Gold is applied in decorative cosmetics soap making candles polymer coatings and paint systems. It is suitable for products where a dynamic shimmer and color shift under different lighting conditions are important.
It is widely used in eyeshadows highlighters powders lip glosses as well as in coatings artistic materials and decorative compositions. In soaps and candles it provides depth and visual texture.
How it works
The pigment consists of mica platelets coated with thin layers of metal oxides that reflect and refract light. This creates an interference effect resulting in a pearlescent shine with tonal variation.
Within a system the particles align in layers enhancing light reflection and visual intensity.
Properties
Intense red gold interference effect
Pearlescent optical appearance
High coverage when properly dispersed
Color stability in formulations
Compatible with various base systems
Stable under standard processing temperatures and light exposure
Applications across industries
In cosmetics it is used in eyeshadows powders and decorative products
In soap making it is used for coloring and visual effects
In candle production it is used for decorative finishes
In coatings it is used in paints varnishes and polymer systems
In creative industries it is used in artistic and decorative formulations
Behavior in formulation
The pigment is insoluble in water and oils and requires proper dispersion. Without adequate mixing it may settle over time.
It disperses more easily in oil based systems than in water based ones. Pre dispersion in a portion of the base is recommended for stability.
How to use
Disperse in oil or dry phase
Can be incorporated as a pre dispersed paste
Ensure uniform distribution
Recommended usage level
0.1 to 10 percent depending on desired intensity
Lower levels for subtle shimmer
Higher levels for strong coverage
Formulation example
Decorative shimmer oil
Caprylic Capric Triglyceride — 850 ml
Pearlescent Pigment Red Gold — 50 g
Jojoba Oil — 80 ml
Tocopherol — 10 ml
Golden Warm Fragrance — 5 ml
Processing
The pigment is first dispersed in a portion of the oil to form a uniform paste. The remaining oil phase is then added with thorough mixing.
Tocopherol and Golden Warm Fragrance are introduced at the final stage and mixed until evenly distributed.
Important considerations
Proper dispersion is required to achieve uniform visual effect
Pigment may settle in low viscosity systems over time
Color intensity depends on concentration and base
Final appearance is influenced by formulation structure
