A cool metallic shimmer built for both studio batches and larger production runs
Mica Silver Sparkle 100 g is a finely milled mineral pigment delivering a bright, cool silver shimmer that shows up across far more industries than home crafting alone. A 100 g pack sits comfortably between hobby use and studio-scale manufacturing, making it a practical choice for small cosmetic labs, resin workshops, candle producers and craft businesses scaling up their output. It belongs to the Mica Powders category, which brings together mineral pigments of various shades for a wide range of production needs.
Globally, the strongest demand for pigments like this comes from decorative cosmetics: eyeshadows, highlighters, lip glosses and body shimmers rely on it for a clean metallic sparkle without visible grit. Skincare formulators add small amounts to lotions, oils and body creams to create a subtle glow effect on skin. A significant portion of demand also comes from the resin art industry, where the pigment is dispersed into epoxy for jewelry, tabletop pours and decorative castings, giving the silver tone a striking presence in clear material. Candle makers use it for surface dusting and wax tinting, while packaging and printing industries apply similar micas for metallic finishes on labels and coatings. Soap makers occasionally use it as a decorative accent as well, though this represents just one of many possible applications rather than the primary use case.
A typical dosage ranges from 0.5 to 5 percent of the base mass depending on the desired intensity: transparent gels need only a small amount, while thicker creams or wax blends can carry a higher load. The pigment should be added at the final stage, once a cosmetic base has cooled to roughly 40-60°C or once resin is fully mixed and ready to pour, which prevents settling and keeps the shimmer evenly distributed. Mica disperses well in oils, silicones, waxes and epoxy systems but does not blend directly into water without an emulsifier or thickener. For layered or gradient effects it pairs naturally with other shades from the same range: the cool silver tone contrasts nicely against the warmer Mica Antique Gold 3 g, while softer pearlescent transitions work well alongside Mica Moon Light 5 g. For a richer golden accent combined with metallic shine, the Mica and Pigment Mix Liquid Gold 3 g is worth considering.
Store the pigment in a tightly sealed container away from direct sunlight and moisture at room temperature to keep the particles free-flowing and the shimmer consistent. Before committing to a large production run, a small test batch is recommended to fine-tune the exact concentration for the specific base being used.
Silver shimmer body oil spray
Fractionated coconut oil 70 ml
Jojoba oil 20 ml
Mica Silver Sparkle 3 g
Vitamin E oil 2 ml
Fragrance oil 5 drops
Combine
the fractionated coconut oil and jojoba oil in a spray bottle base container,
then whisk in the mica gradually until fully dispersed with no clumps visible.
Add the vitamin E oil and fragrance oil, shake the mixture thoroughly, and
transfer it into a spray bottle, shaking again before each use since the
pigment may settle slightly over time.
