Bringing Industrial-Grade Metallic Shine to Large-Batch Formulations
Mica Silver Sparkle in a 1 kg pack belongs to the Mica Powders category and offers a mineral pearlescent pigment with a bright silver shimmer that has become a global favorite far beyond makeup shelves. One of the fastest-growing applications worldwide is epoxy resin art, where crafters and workshops mix silver mica into resin for tabletops, jewelry, coasters and decorative panels, achieving a metallic depth effect visible through the cured resin layers. Industrial demand also comes from automotive paint manufacturing, polymer coatings, ceramic glazes, printing inks with metallic finish, and construction materials such as decorative plaster and textured wall coatings.
Within cosmetic production, this silver mica is a staple ingredient for eyeshadows, highlighters, bronzers, lip glosses, nail polishes and body shimmer products. Being heat stable, it can be blended directly into warmed bases such as waxes, carrier oils, silicone emulsions and melted balm sticks without losing its optical effect. Recommended incorporation temperature usually stays around 70-80 degrees Celsius, and typical usage rates range from 0.5 to 5 percent of the total formula weight, with higher concentrations acceptable for dense bronzers or opaque highlighter sticks.
The 1 kg packaging is designed for manufacturers running continuous production cycles — cosmetic brands scaling up their color lines, resin art workshops processing large pours, household chemical plants, and candle factories that use mica to create a shimmering smoke or metallic wax finish, a purpose that occasionally overlaps with small soap studios adding decorative shine to bars. This volume lets formulators lock in a stable recipe without recalculating batches for every production run, which matters for conveyor-style or semi-industrial operations. The pigment blends smoothly with other shades from the same range, such as the warm tone of Sunset Pink Mica, allowing gradient effects in eyeshadow palettes or layered finishes in melt-and-pour projects. Pairing it with the delicate Apple Blossom Mica creates soft pearlescent highlights in pastel compositions, while combining it with the seasonal palette of Mica Breath of Spring expands the shade range available for limited collections.
Since mica does not dissolve in water, it should be pre-dispersed in a small amount of oil or glycerin before being added to water-based emulsions, which prevents clumping and ensures even distribution of particles throughout the finished product. When working with clear gel bases or epoxy resin, the pigment is best introduced during the initial mixing stage and stirred thoroughly until no visible clusters remain. Store the product in a dry area at room temperature, in a tightly sealed container away from moisture and direct sunlight, to keep the shimmer consistent over long-term storage.
Metallic Shimmer Body Bar
Cocoa butter 80 g
Shea butter 60 g
Sweet almond oil 40 g
Mica Silver Sparkle 5 g
Fragrance oil 4 g
Melt
the cocoa butter and shea butter together in a double boiler, remove from heat
and stir in the almond oil once the temperature drops to around 55 degrees
Celsius. Sprinkle in the mica gradually while stirring continuously to achieve
an even metallic sheen, then blend in the fragrance oil, pour the mixture into
molds and allow it to set fully at room temperature before unmolding.
