Bringing Rich Violet Depth to Candle Wax Without Cloudiness
This violet wax dye in a compact 5 gram pack is formulated for coloring paraffin, soy, palm and blended waxes used in candle making. The small size makes it a practical choice for home candle crafting and trial batches, letting hobbyists and small studios test a shade before committing to larger runs. It belongs to the Candle colorants category, which brings together pigments and dye concentrates for decorative and industrial candle production of every kind.
The main application area is candle manufacturing: home decor candles, scented candles, decorative and ceremonial pieces, floating candles, and wax items for floral arrangements. It also finds occasional use in craft projects such as wax seals, wax crayons and small paraffin souvenirs. Because the dye is wax based, it disperses evenly through melted wax without streaking or settling, which matters especially when working with clear gel candles or lighter wax blends.
The dye is added directly to melted wax at roughly 60 to 80 degrees, then stirred thoroughly until the small piece of dye dissolves completely and the color becomes uniform. Dosage depends on the desired intensity and the type of wax used: a small fragment is typically enough for 500 grams to a kilogram of base wax, while a deeper violet shade requires a larger amount. It is best to add the dye gradually, checking the tone against a cooled test drop, since the final color of the set candle can differ noticeably from the liquid melt.
Violet wax pairs naturally with lavender, vanilla, berry and floral fragrance blends, allowing candle makers to match color with scent for a cohesive product. For a wider palette, many makers combine several shades — adding the Violet candle dye 10 g for larger production runs, along with Green Wax Dye for Candles 5 g and Yellow Candle Dye 10 g to build layered, ombre or seasonal candle designs.
Store the dye in a dry place away from direct sunlight, at room temperature, tightly sealed to prevent moisture and contamination. Under proper storage conditions it retains full coloring strength and consistency over a long period.
