Bulk White Opaque Base Built for High-Volume Soap Production Lines
Manufacturers who run continuous soap production need raw material that behaves the same way batch after batch, and that consistency is exactly what a large-format supply offers. White Opaque 60/40 in a 12 kg block belongs to the category of melt and pour soap bases, engineered for workshops, small factories, and studios producing dozens or hundreds of soap units per session. The 60/40 ratio gives a dense, fully opaque texture with a clean cut edge, which holds up well during packaging, stacking, and shipping of large orders without cracking or warping.
The primary use of this base is producing solid bar soap through melting rather than saponification from raw oils, which shortens the production cycle considerably and reduces the equipment needed on a small production floor. The block is cut into chunks and melted in a double boiler or thermostatic melter at 60-70 degrees Celsius, avoiding a rolling boil that can trap air and weaken the final texture. Active ingredients are typically blended in once the temperature drops to around 50-55 degrees: carrier oils such as coconut, sweet almond, or shea butter at 3-5% of total weight to boost skin feel, fragrance oils at 1-3%, plus colorants or mica for visual effect. Adding fragrance at this lower temperature preserves top notes that would otherwise evaporate in hotter liquid base.
Working with a large block also makes it practical to blend in smaller portions of other bases to fine-tune hardness and opacity for different product lines. Mixing in some White Opaque 50/50 Soap Base softens the cut slightly, which works well for intricate molded shapes and novelty soap. Before committing a full production run to a new formula, it makes sense to prototype with a smaller unit of Neri White Base Soap Base, testing compatibility with chosen additives on a manageable scale. Once the recipe is confirmed and production moves into a steady rhythm, switching to the matching Neri White Base Soap Base in a 12 kg format
keeps the whole product line uniform without constantly changing suppliers.
Beyond standard bar soap, this dense opaque base is widely used for hotel amenity soaps, molded novelty and gift soaps, and soap containing visible inclusions like dried botanicals, coffee grounds, or exfoliating particles, since the opaque structure hides suspension lines and keeps particles evenly distributed rather than settling at the bottom of the mold. Store the block in a dry area at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, in its original wrap or a tightly sealed container to prevent surface moisture and preserve the texture until it is melted for use.
Charcoal Detox Bar for Oily Skin
White opaque soap base 700 g
Activated charcoal powder 8 g
Tea tree essential oil 8 ml
Sweet almond oil 25 g
Witch hazel extract 15 ml
Cut
the base into cubes and melt it in a double boiler at around 65 degrees
Celsius, stirring gently until fully liquid. Let the temperature drop to about
55 degrees, then stir in the sweet almond oil until evenly blended. Mix the
activated charcoal powder with the witch hazel extract separately to avoid
clumping, then pour this mixture into the melted base and stir thoroughly for
an even gray tone throughout. Add the tea tree essential oil once the base
cools to around 45-50 degrees to protect its potency. Pour the finished mixture
into molds, spritz with rubbing alcohol to release trapped air bubbles, and
leave at room temperature for several hours until fully set.
