Bulk White Base Built for High-Volume Production Runs
Manufacturers planning a steady output over several months typically choose a large-format supply to reduce ordering frequency and keep raw material consistency across every batch. This white block sits within the Melt and Pour Soap Bases category, which brings together meltable materials used for casting solid cosmetic bars without cooking from scratch. The dense, fully opaque texture hides any inclusions added during production - pigments, dried botanicals, exfoliating particles - so nothing shows through on the cut surface of the finished bar.
The most common use of this material is manufacturing solid cleansing and body-care bars, molded decorative pieces, gift sets and novelty items. On a production floor this base tolerates repeated remelting reasonably well, which matters when working with intricate molds or reprocessing off-spec castings. Melting happens at a moderate range on a water bath or in a thermostat-controlled tank, and overheating should be avoided since excess temperature weakens the cut structure and reduces lather stability in the final product.
The base blends well with carrier oils, cosmetic butters, essential oils and fragrance blends, plus water-soluble and oil-based colorants. Additional oils are usually kept to around 5-7 grams per 100 grams of base, otherwise the finished bar turns too soft and loses shape during storage. Fragrance is typically added at roughly 2-3 grams per 100 grams of melt once the mass has cooled to about 55-60 degrees, which prevents volatile aromatic compounds from burning off. To achieve intermediate opacity levels when blending batches, many producers pair this base with White Opaque 40/7, white soap base, 12 kg.
Before committing to a full production run, it makes sense to test a small trial batch first - the compact White Opaque 40/7 white soap base, 1 kg is convenient for checking compatibility with a new colorant or fragrance without risking a large batch of raw material. Combining this base with Melta White Soap Base 1 kg also produces good results for layered bars alternating shades and density.
Store the base in a dry space at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, in tightly sealed packaging to prevent it from absorbing outside odors or moisture. Under proper storage conditions the raw material keeps its working properties for a long period, which matters for facilities that stock up several months ahead. The 12 kg format is aimed specifically at conveyor-style and semi-industrial manufacturing, where predictable melting behavior and batch-to-batch uniformity are essential.
Charcoal and Green Tea Detox Bars
White base 900 grams
Sweet almond oil 35 ml
Activated charcoal powder 4 grams
Green tea extract liquid 20 ml
Tea tree essential oil 10 ml
Vitamin E oil 5 ml
Cut the base into cubes and melt over a water bath until fully liquid, avoiding boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the almond oil until evenly combined. Let the mixture cool to roughly 58 degrees, then whisk in the activated charcoal gradually to avoid clumping, followed by the green tea extract. Once smooth, add the tea tree oil and vitamin E, stir gently and pour into molds. Allow the bars to set at room temperature for several hours before unmolding carefully.
