Olive Soap Base UK 1 kg

What Makes Olive Soap Base a Reliable Choice for Small-Batch Skincare Studios

Olive soap base manufactured in the UK belongs to the category of Melt and Pour Soap Base England, a raw material that remains consistently popular among small-scale soap makers and cosmetic studios producing limited runs of bar products. The 1 kg pack size suits home workshops and small labs preparing trial batches before scaling up a full product line, giving enough material to test formulations without committing to large volumes.

The defining feature of this base is its rich olive oil content, which gives finished bars a dense structure, a creamy soft lather, and a noticeable moisturizing feel on the skin. It works particularly well for dry, mature, and sensitive skin types, since it avoids the stripping sensation common with harsher detergent bases. Beyond classic soap bars, this base is also used in the production of solid shampoo bars, shaving creams, spa product lines for salons, and handcrafted gift sets where a natural-looking formula matters.

The base is typically melted using a double boiler method at around 60-65 degrees Celsius, and it should never be boiled or overheated, as this can break down the texture and reduce the benefits of the oils. Additives are best introduced once the melted base cools to about 45-50 degrees: essential oils are usually dosed at 1-3 grams per 100 grams of base, carrier oils and butters at 1-5 grams, fragrance oils at 0.5-1 gram, while colorants and pigments should be added gradually to control the final shade.

Olive soap base pairs well with other soap-making materials when expanding a product range across different textures. For a line that combines solid bars with liquid formats, the Liquid Castile Soap Base 200 ml or the larger Liquid Castile Soap Base 500 ml works well for liquid soaps and shower gels. For a gentler formula free from strong detergents, olive base can be blended with the SLS Free Soap Base 1 kg, which is a suitable option for sensitive skin and children's products.

Store the base in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 15-25 degrees Celsius, away from direct sunlight and moisture, in a tightly sealed container to prevent it from absorbing outside odors. When storage conditions are respected, the base keeps its working properties throughout its full shelf life, making it convenient for repeated small production cycles.

Olive and Lavender Soap Bar

Olive soap base 400 grams

Shea butter 15 grams

Dried lavender buds 6 grams

Glycerin 8 grams

Lavender essential oil 5 grams

Cut the base into cubes and melt it over a double boiler until fully liquid, keeping the temperature close to 60 degrees. Remove from heat, stir in the shea butter and glycerin until completely combined. Once the mixture cools to about 45 degrees, add the dried lavender buds and lavender essential oil, stir quickly, and pour into molds, allowing the bars to set at room temperature for several hours before unmolding.
