Lakesis for Firming Skin Care and Advanced Anti-Aging Formulations
Lakesis is a high-performance botanical cosmetic active developed for modern skincare formulations designed to support firmer-looking skin and improve the overall appearance of mature complexions. Combining natural mastic tree extract with a lightweight emollient, this ingredient is widely used in premium cosmetic products and professional skincare. Within the Anti-Age Actives category, Lakesis is incorporated into innovative formulations for facial, neck and décolleté care.
According to the INCI declaration, Lakesis contains Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride and Pistacea Lentiscus (Mastic) Gum Extract. The botanical extract is obtained from the resin of Pistacia lentiscus, a Mediterranean tree recognized for its naturally occurring bioactive compounds. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride functions as a lightweight emollient, improves ingredient dispersion throughout the formulation, enhances product texture and provides a pleasant skin feel during application.
Lakesis is widely used in facial creams, concentrated serums, cosmetic emulsions, facial oils, eye care products, neck and décolleté creams, overnight skincare treatments, lifting masks, SPA cosmetics, professional salon skincare lines and premium anti-aging formulations.
The ingredient is highly compatible with Hyaluronic Acid, D-Panthenol, Niacinamide, Ceramides, Squalane, Coenzyme Q10, Bakuchiol, Matrixyl peptides, Argireline peptides, Copper Peptides, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Amino Acids, Vitamins A, C and E, botanical extracts, antioxidants and natural oils including Jojoba, Argan, Avocado and Macadamia Oil. This versatility allows formulators to develop sophisticated multifunctional skincare products.
Lakesis contributes to elegant cosmetic textures, improves product spreadability and enhances the sensory characteristics of finished formulations. Its oil-soluble nature allows easy incorporation into emulsions, creams, facial oils and anhydrous cosmetic systems while maintaining excellent formulation compatibility and stability.
The ingredient is typically incorporated into the oil phase or added during the final manufacturing stage at temperatures below 40°C. It is suitable for creams, serums, emulsions, facial oils, balms, masks and many other professional skincare products.
The recommended usage level is generally between 1 and 5%, depending on the formulation type, product concept and the raw material supplier's recommendations. The optimal concentration should be selected according to the desired performance of the finished cosmetic product.
Store Lakesis in its original tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place protected from moisture, direct sunlight and excessive heat. Proper storage conditions help preserve the ingredient's stability, quality and formulation performance throughout its shelf life.
