Deep Black Shade Built for Consistent Industrial Batches
The Black Agate liquid pigment in a 1 liter container is formulated for manufacturers who need not only an intense color but also reliable batch-to-batch consistency. This concentrated pigment belongs to the wider range of Pigment Liquid ULTRA Dyes, developed for industrial and studio-scale production across many industries - from decorative cosmetics to household chemicals and candle making. The one liter size fits medium and large output volumes, where predictable consumption and no production downtime due to color shortage really matter.
The main application area for this black liquid pigment is decorative cosmetics manufacturing, including eyeliners, mascaras and gel-based contouring products, as well as coloring dark-toned household chemicals such as dishwashing gels, laundry concentrates and car care cosmetics. A separate strong demand comes from candle making, where a deep black color is popular for decorative and interior candles and for floristry and handmade studio products. In skin and hair care, the pigment is used to create striking shower gels, bath foams, shampoos and balms with a charcoal accent, which is currently in active demand within the detox cosmetics segment. Less frequently, it also appears in coloring transparent soap bases when a deep uniform tone without streaks is required.
The pigment is compatible with most water-based and water-glycerin systems and is easily introduced into the finished emulsion at the final production stage, at a temperature not exceeding 40-45 degrees, to avoid breaking down the product structure and losing color depth. Recommended dosage typically starts from 0.1-0.5 percent of the total formulation weight and is adjusted depending on the required intensity - matte decorative products often require a higher concentration. Before adding, the pigment should be thoroughly stirred, since the pigment phase may slightly separate over time during storage.
Black Agate pairs well with other colored and pearlescent components when developing gradient or multilayer products - for instance, combining it with Green Liquid Metallic Pearl 1 L creates a striking contrast transition in decorative items or candles. For functional formulas containing active botanical ingredients, the pigment is often introduced alongside extracts - for example with Horseradish Extract 1 L in invigorating scalp treatments, or with Cornflower Extract 1 L in calming products for sensitive skin, where the dark shade serves as a visual marker for the product line.
Store the pigment in a tightly sealed container, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, at room temperature. Once opened, use the content within a reasonable period and avoid moisture or foreign liquids entering the packaging, as this may change the consistency.
Black Charcoal Soy Candle
Soy wax 500 g
Coconut oil 30 g
Black Agate liquid pigment ultra 5 ml
Cedarwood fragrance oil 25 ml

Melt
the soy wax together with coconut oil in a double boiler until fully liquid,
keeping the temperature around 60-65 degrees. Remove from heat, whisk in the
activated charcoal powder until evenly dispersed, then add the pigment
gradually while stirring until the mixture reaches a deep uniform black. Once
the temperature drops to about 45-50 degrees, blend in the fragrance oil, pour
into prepared candle jars with a centered wick, and allow the candles to cure
undisturbed for at least 24 hours before trimming the wick.
