Peptide-based active for softening expression lines on the face
Gatuline Expression is a concentrated active ingredient developed for cosmetic manufacturing to reduce the visible depth of expression wrinkles that form due to repeated facial muscle contractions. This raw material belongs to the category of Myorelaxants, widely used in the formulation of anti-aging creams, serums and targeted correction products for the forehead, glabella and eye contour areas. The 100 gram packaging suits cosmetic laboratories, small studios and pilot production lines developing and testing formulas before moving to larger scale manufacturing.
The primary application of this ingredient lies in premium skincare, where brands claim a smoothing effect and reduction of wrinkle depth achieved without injectable procedures. The mechanism of action relates to the ability of the active molecule to influence nerve impulse transmission to muscle fibers, gradually easing the hypertonicity of facial muscles and giving the skin a more relaxed appearance. Because of this resemblance, such actives are often referred to as topical alternatives to injectable techniques, although the effect is gentler and requires consistent, regular use over time.
In formulations, Gatuline Expression is typically incorporated into the water phase of an emulsion during the final stage of production, at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, to preserve the stability of the active molecules. The recommended dosage ranges from 2 to 5 percent of the total finished product weight, depending on the intended strength and target audience of the formula. The ingredient pairs well with other signaling peptides, such as Copper Peptide GHK-Cu, which supports tissue regeneration and skin density, and with Oat Peptide, which calms the skin and reduces reactivity during prolonged use of active serums.
Manufacturers frequently combine myorelaxing actives with plant-derived peptides to create multifunctional lines addressing several signs of aging simultaneously. In such formulas, Soy Protein Peptide is used as an additional amino acid source supporting the synthesis of structural skin proteins. This combination allows formulators to build comprehensive products for mature skin, addressing muscle tone, elasticity and surface texture at the same time.
The raw material should be stored in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight, ideally at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius once the packaging has been opened, to maintain the stability of the active compounds for the entire declared shelf life. During formulation, proper aseptic practices should be followed, using clean laboratory equipment and minimizing prolonged air exposure, since oxidation can reduce the efficacy of the finished product. This ingredient is suitable both for laboratory research and for launching pilot batches of skincare before entering retail production.
Overnight expression line smoothing gel
Gatuline Expression 3 grams
Distilled water 60 ml
Aloe vera gel 15 ml
Hyaluronic acid low molecular weight 2 grams
Xanthan gum 1 gram
Glycerin 5 ml
Preservative 1 gram
Disperse the xanthan gum gradually into the distilled water while stirring continuously until a smooth gel base forms, then blend in the aloe vera gel and glycerin until fully combined. Warm the mixture gently to no more than 35 degrees Celsius, add the hyaluronic acid and allow it to hydrate completely, then lower the temperature further and mix in the Gatuline Expression together with the preservative until the gel becomes uniform. Transfer the finished product into a clean airtight jar or pump dispenser for storage.
