The main application of ECOTECH is forming stable oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions for body lotions, facial creams, sun care products and emulsion-based masks. The emulsifier binds the aqueous and oil phases together, preventing separation during storage and temperature fluctuations, which is essential for products with a long shelf life on retail shelves. Beyond skin care and color cosmetics, similar emulsifiers are widely used in professional salon products, certain technical creams, and household chemical formulations requiring a stable water-oil dispersion.

The emulsifier is added to the oil phase and heated to 70-75 degrees Celsius, then combined with the pre-heated water phase under continuous stirring until the mixture cools completely. A typical dosage ranges from 3 to 8 percent of the total formula weight, depending on the desired texture and oil content. The component pairs well with thickeners, silicones and active ingredients without losing its stabilizing performance when narrow-purpose emulsifiers are added to the formula.

When working with large batches, it is common to combine the main emulsifier with supporting ingredients for finer texture control. A small addition of nonionic Tween 80 helps solubilize essential oils and fragrance compounds in the water phase, while Emulsifier EMULPHARMA 135 serves as an extra stabilizer in light, low-oil fluids. To thicken the final product and give it a creamy consistency, many formulators introduce Synthalen® W400, which works alongside the main emulsifier without phase conflicts.

Store the emulsifier in a tightly sealed container, in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Synthalen W400 5 g

Preservative 6 ml

Heat the oil phase with the emulsifier to 75 degrees Celsius, and separately heat the water phase with glycerin to the same temperature, then combine them under vigorous mixing. Once the mixture cools to 40 degrees, add the Synthalen previously dispersed in a small amount of water, and at around 35 degrees introduce the fragrance oil and preservative, continuing to stir until the cream reaches room temperature.
