Product Description
Green Tea Glycolic Extract botanical functional ingredient for industrial formulation
Green Tea Glycolic Extract is a botanical raw material obtained through glycol extraction of Camellia sinensis leaves, preserving a complex of active compounds. This functional ingredient is widely used in formulation as a versatile plant-derived component compatible with water-based and emulsion systems. It integrates efficiently into manufacturing processes and demonstrates stable behavior with emulsifiers, stabilizers and rheology modifiers. Global demand extends beyond cosmetics into Food and Beverage, functional drinks, flavor systems, supplements, fragrance systems and contract manufacturing. In formulation it acts as a functional botanical component enhancing product performance.
Properties and functional role in formulation
The extract functions as an active botanical ingredient influencing formulation behavior. In water systems it disperses evenly and forms a uniform phase. In emulsions it is incorporated into the water phase and remains stable under standard production temperatures. It is compatible with preservatives and other functional ingredients. In formulation it improves distribution of components, supports system stability and contributes to sensory properties. When properly dosed it maintains stability during scale-up.
Properties and result in final product
In finished products the extract improves texture and ensures uniform distribution. It enhances structural consistency and product stability. In liquid systems it improves clarity, while in emulsions it supports stable structure. In hair care applications it improves distribution and manageability. In complex formulations it enhances resistance to storage condition changes.
Application
The extract is used across multiple industries. In Food and Beverage it is applied in functional drinks and botanical systems. In flavor systems it serves as a plant-derived component. In cosmetics it is used in skin and hair care products. In hair care it is applied in shampoos and conditioners. In SPA and aromatherapy it is used in botanical compositions. In cleaning industry it is used in specialized formulations. In pharmaceutical and supplement sectors it is used in botanical complexes. In fragrance industry it is applied as a supporting ingredient. In private label and contract manufacturing it is widely used.
Recipe
Functional toner with green tea extract
Purified water — 780 ml
Green Tea glycolic extract — 60 ml
Glycerin — 50 ml
Panthenol — 20 ml
Preservative system — 5 ml
pH adjuster — 2 ml
Water phase is combined with glycerin and mixed until uniform, followed by dispersion of the extract. Panthenol is then added with mixing until homogeneous. Preservative is incorporated and pH is adjusted. The mixture is homogenized and stabilized at room temperature.
Production stability and scaling
The extract shows stable performance during scale-up and ensures reproducibility. Process parameters such as mixing and incorporation stage must be controlled. It integrates easily into B2B manufacturing systems.
