SoFi TIX Breitband titanium dioxide for uniform coverage and stable high-performance formulations
SoFi TIX Breitband is a high-dispersion titanium dioxide (TiO₂) used as a functional ingredient in formulation systems to provide uniform coverage, light scattering and visual consistency. It is also searched as titanium dioxide cosmetic grade, white pigment TiO2, inorganic UV scattering pigment.
In B2B manufacturing this raw material is essential for controlling product appearance and ensuring batch-to-batch consistency. It integrates easily into formulations and delivers predictable performance during scale-up.
Properties and functional role
Acts as an inorganic pigment with strong light-reflecting properties. Creates optical density and uniform coverage.
In formulation it behaves as an inert dispersed phase but requires proper dispersion to achieve optimal results.
Properties and result
Provides clean white color and improved visual uniformity. Enhances formulation appearance and consistency.
May slightly affect texture perception by increasing density.
Purpose
Used in cosmetics, emulsions, creams, decorative products and sunscreen systems.
Also applied in food, pharmaceutical and industrial systems depending on regulatory framework.
Application
Suitable for creams, lotions, gels and makeup products. Compatible with oils, emulsifiers and thickeners.
Introduced in oil phase or pre-dispersed before emulsification.
Recipe
Uniform coverage cream base
Ingredients:
Water — 64 g
Glycerin — 4 g
ERCAWAX CE V — 4 g
Cetearyl alcohol — 2 g
Jojoba oil — 5 g
Shea butter — 4 g
SoFi TIX Breitband — 3 g
Phenoxyethanol — 0.8 g
Panthenol — 2 g
Niacinamide — 2 g
Aloe extract — 4 g
Lactic acid — 0.2 g
Technology:
Pre-disperse titanium dioxide in the oil phase to form a uniform paste. Heat oil and water phases separately to 70–75°C. Combine phases under homogenization to form an emulsion. Cool with continuous mixing and add actives at 40°C. Adjust pH to 5.0–5.5.
Instruction:
Proper dispersion is critical. Poor distribution leads to visible particles and uneven color. Always disperse before emulsification. Avoid adding pigment directly into cold phase. Maintain consistent mixing energy and monitor pH for stability.
Manufacturing stability
The ingredient is highly stable and suitable for industrial scale production. It maintains consistent performance, color and coverage across batches when proper dispersion and mixing parameters are maintained.
