Product Description
Sunflower Powder botanical raw material for cosmetic food and functional systems
Sunflower Powder is produced from dried Helianthus annuus plant material followed by fine milling into a uniform powder fraction. The ingredient appears light beige to cream with a subtle nutty aroma. It disperses in aqueous systems forming stable suspensions in gels and pastes while remaining insoluble in oils. Pre wetting in glycerin or water is recommended for uniform integration. The dry format ensures storage stability, dosing accuracy and reproducible batch performance in industrial production.
Properties and skin performance
In cosmetic systems it provides a soft natural tone and enhances texture density. Proper dispersion results in uniform structure without coarse particles. In masks it creates a dense plant layer with matte finish. In emulsions it increases visual richness without adding heaviness when balanced within the aqueous phase.
Industry applications
Sunflower Powder is incorporated into cleansing masks, SPA blends, dry reconstitutable systems, natural scrubs and botanical care lines. In the food sector it is used in dry blends, nutrition bars, sauces and bakery applications as a plant based component. In functional powder systems it can serve as a botanical matrix ingredient. Suitable for private label development and contract manufacturing due to scalable processing and consistent dry structure.
Formula example
Purified water 230 ml
Sunflower Powder 25 g
Glycerin 22 g
Calendula hydrolat 30 ml
Inulin 20 g
Sunflower oil 18 ml
Olive derived emulsifier 9 g
Preservative system 2 g
Sunflower Powder is pre blended with glycerin to create a smooth paste without dry particles. In a separate vessel purified water and calendula hydrolat are combined and inulin is dissolved completely. The prepared paste is gradually incorporated into the aqueous phase under continuous mixing to ensure even suspension. Sunflower oil is heated with the emulsifier until homogeneous and then introduced into the main mixture with steady agitation to form a cream emulsion. The preservative system is added at the final stage and pH is adjusted to a balanced range suitable for emulsion gel systems. The final product is a dense cream mask with uniform botanical dispersion.
Sunflower Powder is positioned for B2B manufacturers across cosmetic, food and functional sectors. It supports industrial scalability, consistent batch reproducibility and stable integration into multi sector production environments.
