What Makes ERCAMULS LF 10 V/FD a Reliable Choice for Stable Cosmetic Emulsions
ERCAMULS LF 10 V/FD belongs to the Emulsifiers category, which brings together ingredients responsible for binding water and oil phases into one uniform system. The 1 kg pack size fits studio-level and small-batch production, giving formulators enough material to fine-tune cream and lotion recipes before scaling the same ratios up to larger production runs without reformulating from scratch.
The primary field of use for this emulsifier is the cosmetic industry: facial and body creams, lotions, hair care emulsions, and sun care formulas. It builds a stable oil-in-water system, keeping the final product uniform and free from phase separation throughout its shelf life, even when storage temperatures fluctuate. Beyond cosmetics, similar emulsifiers are used in household chemical production such as cream cleaners and polishes, and occasionally in food and pharmaceutical blends where an even distribution of the fat phase is required.
The ingredient is added during the oil phase stage, at a temperature of around 70-75 degrees Celsius, alongside vegetable oils, fatty alcohols and waxes. A typical usage rate ranges from 3 to 8 percent of the total formula weight, depending on the desired thickness of the finished emulsion. Once both phases are combined, the mixture should be cooled under constant stirring down to 40-45 degrees, which produces a smooth texture free of lumps or separation.
ERCAMULS LF 10 V/FD pairs well with other emulsifying agents, including ERCAWAX CE V 50 g, allowing formulators to adjust the final texture and skin feel of the cream. In fragranced formulations it also works alongside natural waxes such as Tuberose Wax 10 g and Rose Wax 100 g, which contribute scent along with subtle textural support to the emulsion.
Store the emulsifier in a tightly closed container, in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Under these conditions the product retains its technological properties for the entire stated shelf life.
