Cut the base into small cubes and melt over a double boiler until fully liquid, keeping the temperature below boiling point. Stir in the almond oil and orange zest until evenly distributed, then add the colorant and orange essential oil, mixing gently to avoid trapping air. Sprinkle the poppy seeds into the mixture just before pouring and stir briefly so they stay suspended rather than sinking to the bottom, then pour into the prepared mold. Allow the bars to set at room temperature for several hours, unmold carefully, and let them air dry for about a day before wrapping or packaging.
