Melt the oil phase with the almond oil, coconut oil and emulsifier over a water bath at 75 degrees until fully liquid. Heat the water phase with glycerin separately to the same temperature, then slowly pour it into the oil phase while stirring continuously with a mixer for about six minutes until the mixture thickens into a smooth lotion. Once cooled to 40 degrees, blend in the lavender essential oil and transfer the finished lotion into a clean jar for storage.
