Bulk Monoethanolamine as the Backbone of Continuous Industrial Manufacturing
A 1000 kg drum of monoethanolamine is built for facilities running continuous production lines - detergent plants, coolant manufacturers, cement producers, gas processing companies and full-cycle cosmetic factories. This reagent belongs to the Acids, Salts, Alcohols, and Alkalis section, gathering components used for pH regulation and building complex technological systems at industrial scale.
The largest global demand for monoethanolamine comes from natural gas processing, where it removes acidic impurities from gas streams before further use. The second major direction is surfactant and emulsifier production for laundry detergents, gels and industrial cleaning formulations. In metalworking, monoethanolamine is a core component of metalworking fluids, providing corrosion protection for tools and machined parts. The cement industry applies it as a grinding aid that reduces energy consumption during clinker milling, while construction chemistry uses it to regulate setting time of mixtures.
In cosmetic and pharmaceutical manufacturing, monoethanolamine acts as an emulsifier and alkalizing agent, bringing creams, lotions and gels to the required pH level. When working with acidic components of a formula, such as Citric Acid Monohydrate, monoethanolamine is used for precise neutralization and stabilization of the acid-alkali balance in the finished emulsion. In technical fragrance compositions containing solvents like Benzyl Benzoate, monoethanolamine helps achieve a uniform and stable blend during specialized formulation manufacturing. In recipes containing active ingredients such as L-Carnitine, monoethanolamine supports the emulsifying system of firming or body-contouring cream bases.
When handling bulk volumes, monoethanolamine should be introduced into the water phase at 40-60 degrees Celsius, and it combines well with fatty acids, alcohols and polymeric thickeners. In cosmetic emulsions the typical dosage ranges from 0.5 to 3 percent of the formula mass, while in industrial cleaning and coolant formulations the range is considerably wider and depends on the specific production regulation. The product should be stored in sealed containers, in a dry area away from open flame and strong oxidizers, at a temperature that prevents freezing. A tonnage-scale drum guarantees uninterrupted line operation over a long production cycle without frequent reordering or downtime.
Industrial Metalworking Coolant Concentrate
Monoethanolamine 4 kg
Sodium sulfonate 6 kg
Triethanolamine 3 kg
Boric acid 1 kg
Purified water 86 kg
Heat
the water to 50 degrees Celsius, then dissolve the monoethanolamine,
triethanolamine and boric acid under constant stirring until fully dissolved.
Slowly add the sodium sulfonate while maintaining agitation for another 20-30
minutes until a uniform, stable concentrate forms, which is then diluted with
water according to the working concentration required on the production line.
