Clear Base Built for High-Volume Bar Production

For studios and small manufacturing lines that need a reliable, large-quantity supply of raw material, the 11.5 kg pack of CRYSTAL CCA is a practical choice among the melt and pour soap bases offered in our catalog. This is a transparent base that melts at a moderate temperature and sets into a dense, clear bar with a smooth texture, suitable for molding anything from simple single-color bars to complex layered designs.

CRYSTAL CCA is used mainly for producing solid skincare bars, decorative soap items, souvenir products and gift sets. Clear bases of this type are also popular for making display samples in fragrance lines, where the transparency helps showcase the scent composition visually, as well as for themed products in spa and hospitality settings. The base readily accepts essential and fragrance oils, botanical extracts, moderate amounts of carrier oils, glitter and water-soluble colorants.

To melt it, cut the base into cubes and heat it in a double boiler or microwave at around 60-70 degrees Celsius, avoiding boiling to prevent bubbles and cloudiness. Active additives, essential oils and colorants should be added at around 50-55 degrees, once the mass has cooled slightly but remains pourable. Carrier oil dosage typically should not exceed 5-7 grams per 100 grams of base, otherwise the finished bar may become too soft and lose its shape. Fragrance oils are usually added within 2-3 grams per 100 grams of base.

CRYSTAL CCA pairs well with other bases from the Crystal line, allowing for multilayer bars with varied texture and color. It can be combined with the denser, more structured Crystal WSLS Soap Base Stephenson for contrasting layers, or with the natural Crystal African Black Soap, which adds extra nourishing qualities and a distinctive dark tone. For gentler formulations with oatmeal and shea inclusions, the Crystal OS soap base Oatmeal Shea works well as a nourishing top layer poured over the clear base.

Store the base in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, in its original packaging or a tightly sealed container to prevent it from absorbing moisture or foreign odors. Under proper storage conditions the base retains its processing properties for a long time, which makes the large pack size economically reasonable for ongoing production runs.

Clear Citrus and Aloe Bars

CRYSTAL CCA base 500 grams

Aloe vera gel 20 ml

Sweet almond oil 15 ml

Citrus fragrance oil 10 ml

Vitamin E oil 5 ml

Yellow colorant a few drops

Cut the base into cubes and melt it in a double boiler until fully liquid, avoiding boiling. Remove from heat and let it cool to about 55 degrees, then stir in the aloe vera gel, almond oil and vitamin E oil until evenly blended. Add the fragrance oil and colorant, pour into molds, and let the bars set at room temperature for at least two hours until fully hardened.
