Bulk Shea Butter Soap Base Built for High-Volume Manufacturing
A 20 kg block is meant for workshops and factory lines that need consistent raw material behavior batch after batch, without surprises during melting or pouring. This product belongs to the Melt and Pour Soap Bases category, which brings together base masses of different types - clear, white and oil-enriched formulas used across manufacturing scales. Specif Tempo Shea Butter is formulated for producing solid soap bars, body bars, spa products and gift lines where skin comfort matters as much as the finished look.
Shea butter within the base is responsible for softening the skin after contact with the finished bar - thanks to unsaturated fatty acids and natural sterols, it reduces the tightness often felt after ordinary alkaline soap. This is why the base is popular not only among small studios but also among hotel amenity manufacturers, spa lines and brands targeting sensitive or dry skin. Melting is done in a water bath or thermostat at roughly 60-70 degrees Celsius, without boiling, to preserve the fat structure and avoid separation of the mass. Once melted, the base accepts essential and carrier oils, fragrance oils, water-soluble and oil-based colorants, and botanical extracts - additives are best introduced at 50-55 degrees so volatile components are not degraded by excess heat.
Facilities working with several base types at once often pair this bulk block with the clear Soap base Melta clear, 1 kg to build layered bars with a decorative transparent top and a nourishing shea core. Small test runs are best done on smaller formats first: the Soap Base Shea Butter Melta, 1 kg allows a formula and additive dosage to be validated before scaling to the full 20 kg block, while the Soap Base Shea Butter Melta, 12 kg covers the intermediate stage for short-run production without overcommitting to the largest format.
Store the block in a dry room at normal room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, in tightly sealed packaging so the shea butter content does not oxidize or lose its properties over the shelf life. When working with a large format it helps to pre-cut the block into portioned pieces in advance, which speeds up dosing on the line and reduces losses during melting. Typical fragrance dosage runs from 2 to 6 ml per 100 g of base, essential oils stay within 1-3 percent of total mass, and colorants should follow the manufacturer instructions, starting from a minimal amount and increasing gradually to reach the desired shade.
