Bulk Propolis Concentrate for Continuous Production Lines
Propolis Extract Concentrate in a 1 liter volume is designed for manufacturing lines, small-batch studios with steady raw material turnover, and laboratories that need a predictable large quantity of the component without frequent reordering. Propolis has long been valued for its rich content of resins, waxy substances, essential oils and flavonoids of bee origin, which is why the concentrate is widely used in the production of skincare formulas for troubled and irritated skin, lip balms, hand and foot creams, as well as hair and scalp care products. This concentrate belongs to the product category Extract Concentrates, which brings together plant based and biologically active extracts for various processing directions.
The primary field of application for propolis concentrate is the cosmetic industry: facial emulsions with mattifying and toning effects, serums for inflammation prone skin, hygienic lip products, and creams for problem areas of the body. Besides cosmetics, the extract is actively used in household chemistry with antiseptic positioning, in perfumery compositions with honey and resinous notes, and in select food and pharmaceutical developments where working with bee products is allowed. It is also worth mentioning a niche but recognizable use in soap crafting, where propolis gives bars a distinctive amber tone and characteristic aroma, though this direction remains secondary compared to the industrial skincare segment.
Technologically, the concentrate is introduced into emulsions during the cooling stage, at a temperature not exceeding 40-45 degrees, to preserve the volatile and heat sensitive components of propolis. The recommended dosage typically ranges from 0.5 to 3 percent of the total formula weight, depending on the desired scent intensity and activity of the finished product. Propolis concentrate blends well with other botanical extracts, allowing technologists to combine it with Peony Extract Concentrate for softening and balancing the formula, with Ginkgo Biloba Extract Concentrate to enhance toning effects in anti-aging lines, and with Chestnut Concentrate Extract in products for tired legs and foot care.
For industrial use, the liter format is convenient because it allows the component to be added to large production batches without the risk of running short mid cycle, while also ensuring consistency across the entire line of finished goods. The concentrate should be stored in tightly closed containers, in a dark cool place away from direct sunlight, at room temperature or refrigerated, avoiding contact with metal containers that may react with the active substances of propolis. When working with the raw material, it is recommended to use glass, ceramic or quality plastic containers, and to measure doses with calibrated pipettes or dosing syringes for formula accuracy.
