Metallic Powder Bronze high-performance pigment for coatings cosmetics and industrial formulation systems
Metallic Powder Bronze is a high-demand pigment used globally for creating metallic bronze finishes with strong visual depth and light-reflective properties. It is widely applied across industries due to its adaptability and stable behavior in different bases. This material is used in decorative cosmetics, coatings, paints, inks, plastics, resins, candle production and manufacturing systems where a consistent metallic appearance is required.
From a formulation perspective, Metallic Powder Bronze can exist either as a mica-based pigment with metal oxide coatings or as a metallic powder derived from alloy compositions. In both cases, it functions as an insoluble dispersed phase within the formulation. It does not influence viscosity or structural formation, but defines the visual layer of the product. The particle geometry allows controlled reflection of light, creating a metallic sheen and depth effect.
In global applications, this pigment is among the most востребованных оттенков в декоративных и индустриальных сегментах. In cosmetics, it is used in pressed powders, creams and fluid decorative systems. In body and hair products, it provides temporary visual coverage. In soap and candle manufacturing, it is used for mass coloration and surface decoration. In resin art and DIY applications, it is widely used in epoxy systems and artistic coatings. In industrial production, it is applied in automotive coatings, printing inks and polymer composites where durability and metallic effect are required.
Functionally, Metallic Powder Bronze acts as a reflective pigment that interacts with light to create shimmer and tonal variation depending on the viewing angle. It does not chemically react with the base system but requires uniform dispersion to achieve a consistent result. In low-viscosity systems, stabilization may be required to prevent sedimentation.
In formulation practice, the pigment is introduced during dispersion or at the final mixing stage. It is compatible with oils, silicones, waxes, polymers, resins and aqueous gel systems when appropriate dispersion techniques are applied. Pre-dispersion in a portion of the base or high-shear mixing improves uniformity.
Usage level is defined by pigment characteristics and adjusted by the formulator depending on the required intensity of the metallic effect.
Example formulation: Metallic bronze body oil concentrate
Sweet almond oil 50 g
Isopropyl myristate 20 g
Squalane 15 g
Metallic Powder Bronze 5 g
Tocopherol 2 g
Fragrance composition 8 g
Process: base oils and esters are combined and mixed until uniform. Metallic Powder Bronze is pre-dispersed in a portion of the oil and incorporated into the system under intensive mixing. Tocopherol and fragrance are added. The formulation is mixed until the pigment is evenly distributed.
Example formulation: Polymer gel system with metallic pigment
Purified water 68 ml
Acrylate polymer 1 g
Propanediol 5 g
Metallic Powder Bronze 4 g
Panthenol 3 g
Green tea extract 10 ml
Preservative 1 g
Neutralizer 8 g
Process: the polymer is dispersed in water to form a gel base. Propanediol is added and the system is neutralized. The pigment is pre-dispersed in part of the gel and incorporated into the formulation. Panthenol, green tea extract and preservative are added. The system is mixed until homogeneous.
Metallic Powder Bronze is used in formulations where a strong metallic visual effect, stability and compatibility with multiple base systems are required. It provides consistent color distribution, light reflection and performance across cosmetic, SPA and industrial applications.
