Boosting the Longevity of Copper and Red Hair Tones with Botanical Actives
Phyto Complex for Red Hair is a concentrated botanical blend created to support and intensify copper, auburn and red tones on colored hair. Red pigment is known to be one of the least stable shades, fading quickly from washing, sun exposure and repeated styling, which is why formulators around the world look for plant-based ingredients able to enhance warm undertones without harsh synthetic dyes. This is exactly the role of the phyto complex, which belongs to the section active ingredients for hair, gathering concentrated botanical and biotech actives for targeted hair care formulations.
In formulations this complex is added at the cool phase, once the base has cooled to no more than 40 degrees Celsius, to preserve the activity of the plant extracts. Typical usage levels range from about 1 to 3 percent of the total formula weight, depending on the desired intensity of the red tone. The 25 ml packaging makes it well suited for home formulators preparing trial batches of toning conditioners, masks and rinses, as well as for testing new recipes before scaling up production.
This phyto complex pairs well with other actives designed for hair structure support. It is often combined with Liposomal complex for hair Protective with tripeptide-1, which strengthens the hair fiber from within and helps color pigments stay locked in the cuticle for longer. To restore the keratin layer and improve fiber smoothness, formulators add Keracyn, which supports a more even distribution of pigment along the hair length. When the formula includes a scalp preparation step before applying a toning product, Pilinhib Veg LS 9109 is used to gently prepare the scalp and support better penetration of active ingredients.
Beyond toning cosmetics, botanical complexes of this type are widely used in restorative masks for colored hair, anti-fade serums, and professional salon products meant to maintain copper tones between coloring sessions. Store the product in a tightly closed container, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, to keep the botanical extracts stable throughout the shelf life.
