Product Description
Covafresh Functional Cooling Component for Sensory Formulation Systems
Covafresh is a functional ingredient used in formulation systems as a sensory modifier providing a strong cooling effect and freshness sensation in aqueous, emulsion and hybrid products. This raw material is widely used in cosmetics, hygiene products, oral care, SPA applications and refreshing systems as well as contract manufacturing and private label development. It is compatible with surfactants, emulsifiers, hydrophilic and partially lipophilic components ensuring flexibility and stability in industrial processing.
Functional properties and role in formulation
Covafresh acts as a sensory functional ingredient ensuring uniform distribution in aqueous and emulsion systems. It interacts with water phase and surfactant systems without affecting structural stability. It can be introduced during cooling stage or final mixing under controlled temperature. Compatible with hydrolates, extracts, fragrance systems and stabilizers and maintains stable performance during processing and storage.
Properties and effect on final product
Provides strong cooling sensation and freshness effect. Supports light texture and uniform distribution of components. Maintains structural stability in emulsions and enhances sensory profile in oral care systems. Ensures stability and reproducibility.
Application
Used in cosmetics, after sun products, oral care, shaving products, deodorants, hair care, SPA, cleaning and Food & Beverage technologies. Applied in contract manufacturing and private label production.
Recipe Refreshing Shampoo Covafresh Surfactant System
Covafresh — 10 g
Water — 650 ml
Cocamidopropyl betaine — 120 g
Decyl glucoside — 80 g
Glycerin — 60 g
Panthenol — 20 g
The process begins with preparing water phase heated to approximately 45 degrees under continuous mixing. Cocamidopropyl betaine is added with gentle mixing to avoid excessive foam formation. Decyl glucoside is then introduced with further mixing until a homogeneous surfactant system is formed. Glycerin and panthenol are added and mixed until fully integrated. At temperatures below 35 degrees Covafresh is introduced with gentle mixing to preserve functionality. Continuous mixing ensures stable homogeneous system resulting in a consistent shampoo.
Manufacturing stability and scalability
Covafresh ensures stability in aqueous and emulsion systems and is easily scalable providing consistent industrial performance.
