Product Description
Covafresh Functional Cooling Ingredient for Sensory Formulation Systems
Covafresh is a functional ingredient used in formulation systems as a sensory modifier providing a pronounced cooling effect and freshness sensation. This raw material is applied in aqueous, emulsion and hybrid products where rapid distribution and stable sensory performance are required. It is integrated into cosmetics, personal care, oral care, SPA products and contract manufacturing as well as private label development. Compatible with water phases, surfactants, emulsifiers, polymers and fragrance systems enabling wide formulation flexibility.
Functional properties and role in formulation
Covafresh acts as a sensory functional ingredient ensuring uniform distribution in aqueous and emulsion systems. It interacts with water phase and surfactants without affecting structural stability. It can be added during cooling stage or final mixing under controlled temperature. Compatible with hydrolates, extracts, fragrance systems and stabilizers. Maintains stable behavior during mixing and storage.
Properties and effect on final product
Provides strong cooling sensation and freshness. Supports light texture formation and uniform distribution. Maintains structural stability in emulsions. Enhances sensory profile in oral care systems. Ensures stability and reproducibility.
Application
Used in cosmetics, after sun products, oral care, shaving products, deodorants, hair care, SPA, cleaning and Food & Beverage technologies. Applied in contract manufacturing and private label production.
Recipe Cooling After Sun Gel Covafresh System
Covafresh — 15 g
Aloe hydrolate — 700 ml
Glycerin — 80 g
Carbomer — 10 g
Panthenol — 25 g
TEA — 5 ml
The process begins with carbomer dispersion in water phase under intensive mixing until fully hydrated. The system is heated to approximately 50 degrees with continuous mixing until homogeneous structure is formed. Glycerin and panthenol are added and mixed until fully integrated. During cooling neutralization with TEA is performed to form gel structure. Below 35 degrees Covafresh is introduced with gentle mixing to preserve functionality. The system is mixed until stable homogeneous gel is obtained.
Manufacturing stability and scalability
Covafresh is stable in aqueous and emulsion systems and easily scalable ensuring consistent industrial performance.
