A biotech active bridging deep hydration and gentle skin renewal
COBIO-αHA in a 20 ml pack is a concentrated biotechnological active designed to combine moisture retention with a delicate renewing effect on the skin surface. The product belongs to the Hyaluronic Acid and Actives for Cosmetic range, since it merges the water-binding behavior typical of hyaluronic complexes with a mild resurfacing action often associated with gentle acid systems. This dual function makes it attractive for formulators working on skincare products that need both hydration and improved skin texture in a single ingredient.
The most common application of COBIO-αHA is in leave-on skincare: serums, emulsions, toning lotions, gels and intensive masks. It is frequently used in anti-aging lines, products for dull or dehydrated skin, and formulas aimed at gently smoothing surface texture without harsh exfoliation. In industrial and studio formulations it is often paired with hyaluronic acid of different molecular weights to build a multi-level hydration system, for example with Medium Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid, which forms a protective film on the skin surface, and with Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid, which works deeper within the epidermis.
The compact 20 ml volume is well suited for home-based cosmetic making, sample batches and small trial formulations, allowing formulators and hobbyists to evaluate the active before scaling up to larger production runs. The typical recommended dosage ranges from 1 to 5 percent of the total finished product weight, depending on the desired effect and the base formula type. The ingredient is normally added during the cool-down phase, at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, to preserve its stability and functional activity in the finished product.
COBIO-αHA pairs well with panthenol, glycerin, niacinamide, plant extracts and light emollients, as well as with ultra-low molecular weight hyaluronic acid forms such as HyActive hyaluronic acid 10-20 kDa, which enhances the penetration profile of the formula and helps achieve a more noticeable hydration result at deeper skin layers. This kind of combination is widely used in intensive serums, ampoule concentrates and professional care lines supplied to salons and aesthetic cosmetology studios.
Beyond cosmetic use, similar biotechnological complexes are found in dermatological formulations for dry and irritation-prone skin, as well as in select topical pharmaceutical preparations where a balance of hydration and gentle renewal is required without disrupting the skin barrier. Store the product in a tightly closed container, in a cool dark place, away from direct sunlight and temperature fluctuations, to keep the active complex stable throughout its shelf life.
Renewing hydration ampoule concentrate
Distilled water 75 ml
Vegetable glycerin 4 ml
COBIO-αHA 3 ml
Medium molecular weight hyaluronic acid 0.4 g
Panthenol 2 ml
Broad-spectrum preservative 1 ml
Combine water and glycerin in a clean container, warm gently to about 40 degrees Celsius over a water bath, and slowly sprinkle in the medium molecular weight hyaluronic acid while stirring continuously until fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then blend in COBIO-αHA, panthenol and the preservative, stirring gently until the texture is smooth and uniform. Transfer the finished concentrate into small sterile ampoules or a sealed dropper bottle for use in a focused hydration routine.
