Product Description
Beta Cyclodextrin cyclic oligosaccharide encapsulation carrier for fragrance and functional stabilization
Beta Cyclodextrin is a cyclic oligosaccharide derived from starch through enzymatic conversion. The molecule forms a ring shaped structure composed of glucose units that create a hydrophobic internal cavity and hydrophilic outer surface. This architecture enables the compound to form inclusion complexes with aromatic molecules and organic compounds.
The ingredient appears as white fine powder with neutral odor. It is partially soluble in water and disperses well in aqueous systems. Due to its molecular cavity structure Beta Cyclodextrin can encapsulate fragrance molecules and improve stability of aromatic and sensitive ingredients in formulations.
Properties and formulation performance
In cosmetic systems Beta Cyclodextrin acts as a carrier molecule for aromatic and functional components. The cavity structure can trap fragrance molecules and gradually release them during product use. In cream and gel formulations it does not significantly change viscosity or texture of the product.
Industry applications
Beta Cyclodextrin is used in skincare formulations, hair care products, deodorizing systems and fragrance compositions. The ingredient is applied in powder masks, dry cosmetic mixtures and gel based systems. It is also widely used in food flavor stabilization and pharmaceutical technologies. The material is suitable for private label development and contract manufacturing.
Formula example aromatic facial gel mask
Purified water 650 ml
Glycerin 50 g
Propanediol 45 g
Beta Cyclodextrin 30 g
Hydroxyethylcellulose 7 g
Panthenol 12 g
Green tea extract 30 g
Rose fragrance composition 1 g
Preservative system 2 g
Hydroxyethylcellulose is dispersed in purified water under continuous mixing until a uniform gel base forms. Beta Cyclodextrin is premixed with glycerin and propanediol to create a dispersion and incorporated into the gel base while mixing. Green tea extract and fragrance composition are then added and distributed evenly throughout the formulation. After cooling panthenol and the preservative system are introduced and the pH is adjusted to a stable range suitable for gel cosmetic systems. The final result is a transparent aromatic facial gel mask with smooth texture.
Beta Cyclodextrin is positioned for B2B cosmetic manufacturers, formulation laboratories and contract manufacturing facilities. The ingredient supports fragrance stabilization, formulation reproducibility and scalable industrial production of cosmetic systems.
