Beech bud extract BIO aqueous botanical fraction for serums emulsions and multi component formulations
Beech bud extract BIO is a pre stabilized water based botanical fraction obtained from early stage tissues of Fagus sylvatica and preserved with a mild system. It is designed for direct use in formulations that require consistent integration of plant derived components into aqueous environments. This ingredient is applied in cosmetic systems, SPA formulations, nutraceutical concepts, pharmaceutical developments and technical solution processing where compatibility with water phase structures is essential.
From a formulation perspective, the extract represents a liquid matrix containing a range of plant metabolites derived from active growth material. These include low molecular weight organic compounds that disperse easily in aqueous systems and do not require additional processing before use. Due to its stabilized form, it can be incorporated directly into formulation workflows without pre treatment or solubilization steps.
In cosmetic applications, the extract is used in serums, fluid gels, emulsions and toning systems. It is introduced into the water phase and combined with humectants, polysaccharides and stabilizing agents to create balanced formulations. In hair care products, it is applied in lightweight aqueous and emulsion based systems. In SPA applications, it is used in concentrated liquid formats. In nutraceutical and pharmaceutical contexts, similar extracts are included in liquid systems where controlled distribution is required. In technical processes, it can be used as part of aqueous formulation media.
Functionally, the extract disperses uniformly within the aqueous phase and contributes to the formation of a consistent active environment. It does not directly influence viscosity but requires controlled incorporation to maintain system stability. The presence of a preservation system supports baseline resistance within the formulation.
In formulation practice, the extract is added after the base system has been prepared or during the cooling stage. It is compatible with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, amino acids, niacinamide and other water soluble ingredients. In emulsion systems, it may be incorporated into the water phase or added post emulsification at reduced temperature.
Usage level is defined by technical parameters and adjusted by the formulator depending on the application and formulation design.
Example formulation: Concentrated aqueous serum with botanical fraction
Purified water 68 ml
Beech bud extract BIO 12 g
Glycerin 5 g
Trimethylglycine 3 g
Hyaluronic acid solution 1% 10 ml
Panthenol 3 g
Amino acid complex 2 g
Preservative if required 1 g
pH adjuster 1 g
Process: trimethylglycine and glycerin are dissolved in water with continuous mixing. Hyaluronic acid solution and amino acid complex are then incorporated to form a uniform system. After temperature reduction, the extract is added with gentle mixing. Panthenol and preservative are introduced, followed by pH adjustment. The formulation is mixed to a stable state.
Example formulation: Lightweight emulsion with aqueous beech extract
Purified water 58 ml
Beech bud extract BIO 12 g
Squalane 15 g
Montanov 68 emulsifier 6 g
Cetyl alcohol 3 g
Glycerin 4 g
Panthenol 3 g
Preservative 1 g
pH adjuster 2 g
Process: water and oil phases are prepared and heated separately, then combined and emulsified to form a uniform system. During cooling, the extract and panthenol are incorporated, followed by preservative addition and pH adjustment. The system is mixed until stable and filled.
Beech bud extract BIO is used as an aqueous botanical fraction for building stable formulations with uniform distribution and broad compatibility across water based systems.
