Beech Bud Extract BIO water based botanical ingredient for serums emulsions and formulation systems
Beech Bud Extract BIO is a stabilized aqueous extract derived from buds of Fagus sylvatica and preserved with a mild system of benzyl alcohol and benzoic acid. It is used as a ready to apply botanical ingredient for incorporation into water phase formulations where consistency and compatibility are required. This type of raw material is applied in cosmetic products, SPA systems, nutraceutical concepts, pharmaceutical development and technical aqueous processes.
From a formulation standpoint, the extract is a liquid matrix containing plant derived compounds obtained from early stage plant tissue. These extracts typically include a range of low molecular weight components and organic compounds that disperse easily in water based systems. Due to its pre stabilized nature, the extract can be integrated directly into formulations without additional preparation steps.
In cosmetic applications, Beech Bud Extract BIO is used in serums, gels, emulsions and toners as a water phase component. It is often combined with humectants, polymers and stabilizing agents to build balanced systems. In hair care formulations, it is included in lightweight aqueous and emulsion products. In SPA use, it is applied in concentrated solutions and treatment formulations. In nutraceutical and pharmaceutical development, similar botanical extracts are used in liquid systems requiring uniform distribution. In technical processes, it may be used as part of aqueous formulation environments.
Functionally, the extract disperses evenly in the water phase, forming a consistent active environment within the system. It does not significantly influence viscosity but requires controlled incorporation to maintain stability. The presence of a preservation system supports its baseline resistance within formulations.
In formulation practice, the extract is added during the cooling stage or after the main system has been prepared. It is compatible with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, niacinamide, polysaccharides and other water soluble ingredients. In emulsions, it can be introduced into the water phase or post emulsification at reduced temperature.
Usage levels are defined in technical specifications and adjusted by the formulator depending on formulation goals and system design.
Example formulation: Aqueous serum with botanical extract
Purified water 70 ml
Beech Bud Extract BIO 10 g
Glycerin 5 g
Hyaluronic acid solution 1% 10 ml
Panthenol 3 g
Niacinamide 3 g
Preservative if required 1 g
pH adjuster 3 g
Process: glycerin and niacinamide are dissolved in water with mixing until fully uniform. Hyaluronic acid solution and panthenol are then added. After the system cools, Beech Bud Extract BIO is incorporated with gentle mixing. If needed, preservative is added and pH is adjusted. The mixture is homogenized and filled.
Example formulation: Lightweight emulsion with botanical extract
Purified water 60 ml
Beech Bud Extract BIO 10 g
Jojoba oil 15 g
Olivem 1000 emulsifier 6 g
Cetyl alcohol 3 g
Glycerin 4 g
Panthenol 3 g
Preservative 1 g
pH adjuster 2 g
Process: water and oil phases are prepared and heated separately. After combining, the system is emulsified until uniform. During cooling, the extract, panthenol and preservative are added. The formulation is mixed to stability and filled.
Beech Bud Extract BIO is used as a water based botanical ingredient for building stable formulations with uniform distribution and compatibility across a wide range of aqueous systems.
