Beech bud extract BIO aqueous botanical ingredient for serums emulsions and liquid formulation systems
Beech bud extract BIO is a liquid plant derived ingredient obtained from early growth tissue of Fagus sylvatica and stabilized with a mild preservation system. It is designed for direct incorporation into formulations where consistent dispersion of botanical components in the aqueous phase is required. This type of raw material is used in cosmetic products, SPA systems, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical developments as well as in technical aqueous processing where compatibility with water based environments is essential.
From a technical perspective, the extract represents a concentrated aqueous fraction containing a complex of plant derived metabolites characteristic of active growth stages. These compounds integrate efficiently into water based systems and do not require additional preparation before use. The stabilized liquid format allows seamless inclusion into transparent solutions and multi component formulations.
In cosmetic applications, the extract is used in serums, toners, gels and emulsions as part of the water phase. It is combined with humectants, polymeric thickeners and stabilizing agents to create balanced formulations. In hair care systems, it is incorporated into lightweight aqueous and emulsion based products. In SPA applications, it is used in concentrated liquid formats. In nutraceutical and pharmaceutical systems, similar extracts are included in liquid formulations. In industrial processing, it may be used as part of aqueous formulation environments.
Functionally, the extract disperses uniformly within the system and supports the formation of a consistent medium for interaction of components. It does not directly modify viscosity but requires proper incorporation to maintain stability. The integrated preservation system provides baseline resistance within the formulation.
In formulation practice, the extract is added after preparation of the primary aqueous base or during the cooling stage. It is compatible with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, niacinamide, amino acids and other water soluble ingredients. In emulsions, it can be introduced either into the water phase or after emulsification at reduced temperature.
Usage levels are defined by technical parameters and adjusted by the formulator depending on application requirements.
Example formulation: Serum with aqueous beech extract and hydration system
Purified water 69 ml
Beech bud extract BIO 11 g
Glycerin 5 g
Sodium PCA 3 g
Hyaluronic acid solution 1% 10 ml
Panthenol 3 g
Beta glucan 2 g
Preservative if required 1 g
pH adjuster 1 g
Process: sodium PCA and glycerin are dissolved in water with mixing until uniform. Hyaluronic acid solution and beta glucan are then incorporated. After temperature reduction, the extract is added with gentle mixing. Panthenol and preservative are introduced, followed by pH adjustment. The formulation is mixed until stable.
Example formulation: Lightweight cream emulsion with beech extract
Purified water 59 ml
Beech bud extract BIO 11 g
Rice bran oil 15 g
Olivem 1000 emulsifier 6 g
Cetyl alcohol 3 g
Glycerin 4 g
Panthenol 3 g
Preservative 1 g
pH adjuster 2 g
Process: water and oil phases are prepared separately and heated, then combined and emulsified to form a uniform system. During cooling, the extract and panthenol are incorporated, followed by preservative addition and pH adjustment. The system is mixed until stable.
Beech bud extract BIO is used as an aqueous botanical ingredient for building stable formulations with uniform distribution and compatibility across a wide range of water based systems.
