Silver Citrate liquid as a preserving functional ingredient for industrial formulations
Silver Citrate is a complex of silver ions stabilized with an organic acid system that enables controlled ion release within aqueous and emulsion formulations. As a functional ingredient it is widely used in manufacturing where microbiological stability is required without relying on traditional preservatives that affect sensory characteristics. In B2B production it serves as a key raw material in preservation systems.
The ingredient demonstrates strong compatibility with water-based systems and gel structures. In formulation it distributes evenly without sedimentation when proper pH and processing conditions are maintained. This makes it suitable for scalable industrial manufacturing.
Properties and functional role
Silver Citrate functions as a broad-spectrum preservation component by releasing silver ions in a controlled manner. It does not interfere with fragrance systems or alter texture.
It acts as a stabilizing element maintaining microbiological integrity during storage and use. It integrates easily into aqueous phases.
Properties and result
Incorporation of this ingredient improves formulation stability without affecting viscosity or clarity. It is compatible with most ingredients and maintains system integrity.
The ingredient remains stable across storage conditions but must be added during the cooling phase to preserve activity.
Purpose
Used as a functional ingredient in cosmetics, household products and SPA formulations. In pharmaceutical and nutraceutical processing it acts as a technical component.
It may also be used in industrial cleaning and processing systems.
Application
Applied in gels, serums, lotions and cleansing systems. In household formulations it supports mild cleaning systems.
Its liquid form allows easy integration into production workflows.
