Freeze Dried Apricot Powder as fruit based ingredient for B2B formulation systems
Freeze Dried Apricot Powder is a plant derived powder produced from apricot fruit using freeze drying, which preserves natural nutrients, color, and aroma. It is used in formulation systems as a functional ingredient to improve texture, support stability, and enhance sensory profile. Applied in cosmetic, food, nutraceutical, and technical products where natural origin and consistent quality are required.
Properties of Freeze Dried Apricot Powder
Freeze Dried Apricot Powder contains natural sugars, organic acids, and plant compounds that influence formulation behavior. It supports uniform distribution of components, improves structure, and enhances sensory characteristics such as appearance and aroma. The powder has high concentration, allowing effective use in low to medium dosage.
Application of Freeze Dried Apricot Powder
Freeze Dried Apricot Powder is used in scrubs, masks, creams, gels, dry blends, and functional products. It is applied in cosmetic formulations, food systems, nutraceutical products, and industrial compositions. Suitable for contract manufacturing and private label development using fruit based ingredients.
Behavior in formulation
Freeze Dried Apricot Powder disperses in water and forms a soft textured phase when hydrated. It can also be used in dry formulations where it maintains particle integrity. The ingredient is stable under standard conditions but should be protected from moisture and stored in airtight packaging.
Formulation incorporation
Freeze Dried Apricot Powder is used at 1 to 8 percent depending on formulation requirements. It can be added to the dry phase or dispersed into aqueous systems with controlled mixing.
Recipe Cream mask with Freeze Dried Apricot Powder
Ingredients
Apricot Kernel Oil 15 ml
Shea Butter 5 g
Glycerin 5 ml
Freeze Dried Apricot Powder 4 g
Cetearyl Alcohol 3 g
Olivem 1000 emulsifier 6 g
Chamomile Hydrosol 60 ml
Euxyl PE 9010 preservative 1 g
Processing
The oil phase is prepared by combining apricot kernel oil, shea butter, cetearyl alcohol, and Olivem 1000, then heating to 70 degrees until uniform. The aqueous phase is prepared separately using chamomile hydrosol and glycerin and heated to the same temperature. The phases are combined under continuous mixing to form an emulsion. After cooling below 40 degrees, Freeze Dried Apricot Powder is added and mixed until evenly distributed. Euxyl PE 9010 preservative is added at the final stage.
Instruction
Freeze Dried Apricot Powder should be added during the cooling stage to maintain its natural properties. Olivem 1000 is suitable for stable emulsions. Euxyl PE 9010 is compatible with water based systems. Proper control of temperature and mixing ensures stable results.
Manufacturing value
Freeze Dried Apricot Powder supports development of formulations with natural composition and stable structure.
It improves texture and sensory profile of finished products.
The ingredient can be integrated into different formulation systems with predictable performance during production.
