A mineral-rich raw material for spa care and cosmetic manufacturing
Dead Sea Salt in a 1 kg pack is a concentrated mineral raw material harvested from one of the saltiest bodies of water on the planet. Thanks to its rich content of magnesium, potassium, calcium, bromine and other trace elements, this ingredient is in demand across several industries: home and salon spa care, cosmetic manufacturing, balneology and physiotherapy. The one-kilogram size suits small studios, cosmetic filling workshops and active home users who want a steady supply of raw material without frequent reordering. This product belongs to the Bath Salts section, which gathers mineral and scented salt options for different skincare needs.
The most common use of Dead Sea Salt is in baths and body wraps aimed at relaxing muscles, improving microcirculation and refreshing the overall look of the skin. The minerals help draw out excess fluid from tissues, soften the upper layer of the epidermis and even out skin tone. In cosmetic production, this salt often serves as a base for custom scented blends: simply combine plain salt with essential oils, carrier oils and colorants to create a finished product under your own brand. It pairs well with ready-made scented salts such as Coconut & Orchid Bath Salt or Avocado and Cherimoya Bath Salt, both of which can be used as an aromatic base for trial batches before scaling up to full kilogram volumes.
Beyond cosmetics, Dead Sea Salt is widely used in physiotherapy and balneology, in the production of bath bombs, body scrubs, body masks and pedicure treatments. In the food industry, mineral salts are occasionally used as an additive in functional products, though this is not the primary purpose of this raw material. In household applications, the salt is used for water softening and as a component of cleaning formulas based on mineral abrasives.
For cosmetic blending, the salt should be added at the final stage, after the main liquid and oil components have already been combined, to prevent the crystals from dissolving too early. The optimal introduction temperature is room temperature or a slightly warmed base, not exceeding 40 degrees, to preserve the crystal structure and avoid breaking down any volatile aromatic compounds already added. Typical dosage for bath use ranges from 100 to 300 grams per session, while in scrub formulations the salt-to-oil ratio is usually adjusted individually, often between 1:1 and 2:1.
The salt should be stored in a dry, tightly sealed container away from direct sunlight and moisture, since the crystals are hygroscopic and tend to absorb moisture from the air, forming clumps. Under proper storage conditions, the product retains its properties for a long time without requiring additional preservatives.
The toning effect of mineral baths can be enhanced with ready-made aromatic blends, and the Toning Bath Salt works particularly well for this purpose, as it can be partially mixed into the base kilogram volume for a more pronounced invigorating effect in morning routines.
Citrus energizing bath soak
Dead Sea Salt 300 grams
Grapeseed oil 25 ml
Sweet orange essential oil 8 drops
Rosemary essential oil 4 drops
Dried orange peel (optional) 5 grams
Pour the salt into a glass jar with a lid, add the grapeseed oil and mix thoroughly with a wooden or silicone spatula until evenly combined. Add the essential oils, stir again and let the mixture rest for 10-15 minutes so the crystals absorb the scent. Add dried orange peel if a decorative touch is desired. Pour the finished blend into warm bath water, dissolve it by hand and soak for 15-20 minutes.
