Riboxyl ribose functional raw material for aqueous concentrates and serum formulation systems
Riboxyl is used in formulation systems as a water-soluble carbohydrate component designed for integration into the active phase of aqueous products. It is applied in serums, gel systems, fluid solutions and light emulsions where uniform distribution of low molecular weight substances is required. This ingredient is suitable for cosmetic formulations, laboratory development, nutraceutical liquids and industrial processes involving water-based systems.
From a formulation perspective, Riboxyl provides a ribose source that integrates into the aqueous phase without affecting structural properties of the product. It does not act as a thickener or texture modifier, but contributes to the functional composition of the formulation. Due to its high solubility and compatibility with hydrophilic ingredients, it can be incorporated into a wide range of systems. Stability is maintained by controlling processing conditions, particularly temperature, with addition recommended during the cooling stage.
In cosmetic applications, Riboxyl is used in aqueous serums, gel-based products, eye-area formulations and lightweight emulsions. In hair care systems, it is included in fluid tonics and spray formulations. In SPA environments, it is used in professional aqueous treatments. In nutraceutical liquids, similar carbohydrate ingredients are applied where formulation compatibility is ensured. In industrial systems, it is used in aqueous media requiring stable dispersion of active components.
Functionally, Riboxyl distributes evenly within the water phase, supporting homogeneity of the formulation. It contributes to compatibility between ingredients and overall system stability without altering rheological behavior. It works effectively with polyols, hydrophilic polymers and other water-soluble actives.
In formulation practice, Riboxyl is introduced into the aqueous phase after preparation of the base system. It is compatible with glycerin, organic acid salts, botanical extracts and preservation systems. It dissolves readily and maintains uniform distribution under standard mixing conditions.
Usage level is defined by technical specifications and adjusted by the formulator according to formulation objectives.
Example formulation: Serum with carbohydrate active and amino complex
Purified water 70 ml
Riboxyl 5 g
Glycerin 6 g
Amino acid complex 4 g
Chamomile extract 10 ml
Panthenol 3 g
Preservative 1 g
pH adjuster 1 g
Process: glycerin and amino acid complex are dissolved in purified water with mixing until uniform. Chamomile extract and panthenol are then incorporated. After cooling, Riboxyl is added with gentle mixing. Preservative is introduced and pH is adjusted. The system is mixed until stable and homogeneous before filling.
Example formulation: Gel system with carbohydrate component and botanical extracts
Purified water 67 ml
Riboxyl 5 g
Propylene glycol 5 g
Carbomer 0.7 g
Calendula extract 10 ml
Betaine 3 g
Preservative 1 g
Neutralizer 8 g
Process: carbomer is dispersed in water until fully hydrated. Propylene glycol and betaine are added, followed by neutralization to form a gel structure. Calendula extract is incorporated. Riboxyl is added during the cooling stage with mixing. Preservative is introduced and the system is mixed to full homogeneity.
Riboxyl is used in aqueous formulations where stable integration of carbohydrate-based actives is required. It supports compatibility, uniform distribution and development of modern serum and functional systems across cosmetic, SPA and technical applications.
