Product Description
Polyquaternium 44 cationic polymer for cosmetic hair and skin formulations
Polyquaternium 44 is a cationic polymer ingredient used in development of modern cosmetic formulations. The compound belongs to the family of polyquaternium polymers commonly used in hair care and skin care systems. The polymer is used as a functional ingredient in shampoos, conditioners, gels and other cosmetic formulations. Polyquaternium 44 is compatible with different aqueous and emulsion systems, making it suitable for laboratory formulation development and industrial cosmetic manufacturing. Polymer ingredients of this type are widely used in modern hair care formulations and complex cosmetic systems. The raw material is used in private label projects, contract manufacturing and industrial cosmetic production. Polyquaternium 44 is commonly used by cosmetic manufacturers and formulation laboratories developing new cosmetic formulations.
Properties and formulation interaction
Within cosmetic formulations Polyquaternium 44 functions as a polymer ingredient integrated into different cosmetic textures. In shampoos, conditioners and gel systems the ingredient distributes evenly throughout the formulation matrix and becomes part of the ingredient system. In aqueous formulations the polymer can be easily incorporated into cosmetic structures.
Applications across industries
Polyquaternium 44 is used in development of hair care formulations including shampoos, conditioners, hair masks and styling products. In skin care formulations the ingredient may be incorporated into creams, gels, lotions and cosmetic masks. In body care formulations the polymer may be used in different cosmetic compositions. In SPA formulations the ingredient may be incorporated into professional cosmetic systems. In formulation laboratories Polyquaternium 44 is used in development of polymer based cosmetic formulations and ingredient complexes. The ingredient is suitable for private label development, contract manufacturing and industrial production.
Recipe for conditioning hair gel
Distilled water — 72 ml
Chamomile hydrosol — 12 ml
Glycerin — 6 ml
Polyquaternium 44 — 2 g
Panthenol — 3 ml
Nettle extract — 4 ml
Cosmetic preservative — 1 ml
Preparation process
Distilled water is combined with chamomile hydrosol to form the aqueous base of the formulation. Glycerin is incorporated and mixed until evenly distributed. Polyquaternium 44 is dispersed in the water phase until fully integrated within the formulation system. Panthenol is added and blended until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Nettle extract is incorporated and the formulation is mixed until a stable conditioning gel texture suitable for cosmetic manufacturing is obtained. At the final stage the preservative is added and the formulation is blended until a stable cosmetic product ready for production is achieved.
