Product Description
Delivering a Consistent Kvass-Style Flavor Without Long Fermentation
Beverage manufacturers often need a rye-bread flavor profile that stays consistent batch after batch, without relying on lengthy natural fermentation or seasonal grain variations. Food Flavor Kvass in a 1 liter pack reproduces the recognizable malty, slightly sour bread-based taste associated with traditional kvass, making it a practical solution for studio-scale and small industrial beverage production. This volume suits trial batches of soft drinks, syrups and kvass-style beverages before scaling up to larger production runs. The product belongs to the Beverage flavorings category, which brings together liquid flavor concentrates designed for lemonades, fruit drinks, syrups and similar water-based formulations.
The primary application of this flavoring is in the soft drinks industry: direct-fermentation and blended kvass drinks, carbonated and still lemonades with a kvass taste, plus syrup concentrates used in postmix systems and vending equipment. Beyond beverages, the flavoring is also applied in bakery production to intensify the rye character of kvass bread, gingerbread and certain pastries, as well as in preparing kvass used for cold soups and sauces. It combines well with sugar and invert syrups, citric and lactic acid, caramel-type colorants and preservatives approved for soft drinks. Typical dosage ranges from 0.1 to 0.5 ml per liter of finished beverage, though the exact concentration depends on the formulation and desired flavor intensity, so a small trial batch is recommended before scaling production.
The flavoring should be added at the final stage of processing, once the syrup or beverage has cooled to no more than 40 degrees Celsius, to prevent loss of volatile aromatic compounds through evaporation. Store the product in a tightly sealed container, in a cool dark place away from direct heat and sunlight, which helps maintain flavor stability throughout the shelf life. When building a broader flavor lineup, this concentrate pairs naturally with other products from the same range, such as Banana Food Flavoring for a fruity lemonade line, Cream Charlotte Food Flavoring for dessert-style drinks and shakes, and Cappuccino Coffee Food Flavoring for expanding a cold coffee drinks assortment.
